Chapter 77: Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament part 10
Even before JoyBoy and Tang San had reached the Academy gate, they could already see Xiao Wu standing there, anxiously waiting.

Seeing this, JoyBoy's clones decided to take lethal action because they knew that Shi Nian was a user of illusions and they didn't have anything to counter it. Since the clones could communicate telepathically, the decision was made almost instantly. Every clone activated their bosst to five hundred times and prepared to strike Shi Nian. One of the clones directly appeared in behind Shi Nian, and decapitated him with a horizontal hand chop.
After the clone was sure that Shi Nian was dead and he was not under any illusion by telepathically communicating with other clones, he looked at Tang San who was also looking at him with a shocked expression.
He gently smiled at Tang San and told him that he was JoyBoy's clone and was created as a bodyguard for Tang San to make sure that he was able to reach the academy safely since he was going back alone and JoyBoy was worried that someone might try to take advantage and try to attack Tang San after seeing his performance in the tournament. He didn't attack Shi Nian directly was because he believed that this would be a great experience for Tang San and decided to only take action when his life was in danger.
Hearing this Tang San smiled and thanked him. The clone requested him to not mention about him to others and left after advising Tang San to get rid of the dead body. He didn't healed Tang san using vitality because Tang San was not in any danger and he didn't want to make any more changes in the time-line until it was absolutely necessary. The remaining hidden clones saw that Tang San got rid of the body using his poisons and discovered the Spirit Bone. They secretly followed him until he met with JoyBoy.
After seeing the entire memory, JoyBoy frowned since today's event showed him that the time-line has already started to shift even if slightly. Perhaps whoever designed todays events already considered his presence in equation and maybe that was why Shi Nian was not killed by Tang San but him. He believed in that theory because he knew that Tang San will become a God King in the future and maybe it is him or maybe its Asura God who is designing these events to make sure that Tang San is able to reach that position.
It doesn't matter to JoyBoy whether his theory is true or not. What's important to him is that Tang San and remaining Shrek Seven Devils become Gods just like in the novel so that they will make sure that other Gods doesn't decide to take action against him.
As for whether he wanted to become a God, the answer was a big NO since remembered that in the novel of DD1, the Sea God was almost ready to fight the Asura God to make sure that Tang San inherits his Godly Seat and position after ascending.
Although JoyBoy only had knowledge about DD1 and DD2 novels, he was sure no one would want to give their Godly Seat and position especially after going through the trials the main characters of both novels had to pass to become a God, unless there was a big price to pay for it.
After he spending some time thinking on this issue, JoyBoy summoned ten clones for cultivation and he himself instead of cultivating started meditating, working towards gaining full control over his mental facilities which was his new current goal. The next morning, he absorbed the cultivated energy from his clones and went out to finish his morning routine.
Before he returned to his room, he summoned twenty clones and sent them to different places for cultivation. The clones made sure to hide their features while travelling. After he returned to his room, he cleaned himself and summoned a clone to participate in the tournament with the Shrek Academy members. As for himself, he sat down and started meditating and continued working towards his goal.
This process repeated for the next three days. Every morning, JoyBoy would absorb cultivated energy from his twenty clones before leaving for his morning exercise. After finishing his morning exercise, he would summon twenty clones who would go in different directions for cultivation and then he would return his room, clean himself and start meditating. The clone he summoned would spend time with the Shrek Academy members and participate in the tournament.
On the morning of fourth day, after he absorbed the cultivated energy from his five clones, his cultivation increased to level fifty six with the energy from his remaining sixteen clones helped making his level stable quickly and took some steps towards level fifty seven. After this, he went out to complete his morning exercise.
When he returned to his room after finishing his morning routine, he got the same feeling of danger and change he had felt some time ago from his martial spirit. When he looked down, he saw that his martial spirit had already appeared on his right hand and the illusionary Power Gem glowed for some time before it stopped glowing and his martial spirit disappeared.

Shrek Academy's record of ten fights and ten wins, left them clearly competing for the first position. There were still a few teams that had amassed identical records. That was also the four elemental academies other than Elephant Armored School.
Strangely, apart from facing the Elephant Armored Academy at the start, Shrek Academy didn't encounter any of the other five elemental academy teams. But the Elephant Armored Academy successively encountered the other four academies, and without exception, lost each time. It seemed as if their defense didn't have any effect.
