"well ... it's your pokemon so it's your choice, but well coming back to the pokedex i promised you, first can you tell me what one do ?" asked the professor.
I obliviously knew the answer to such a easy question, so i started saying everything i knew from the game.
"it's main goal is to record data on Pokemon I'm seeing, it will also be able to record even more if i catch it thus helping you on your research, at the same time, it can help me by showing were those Pokemon are normally found in the wild, helping me catch them more easily . It's a win-win invention for both the trainer and the professor."
"Perfect, this is what a normal pokedex can do, but with my new add-on, it isn't only limited to this !" i could hear pride in her voice as she spoke ,"My research are based on the growth of Pokemon , i always wondered why in the same condition Pokemon never grew the same and after years of research i developed an algorithm which can tell the iv and the lv of a Pokemon!
What are iv and lv you may ask? Well it stand for individual value and level,Thank to iv you can tell the strong and the weak point of the said Pokemon compared to the other member of a same species and the lv is simply a way to know how strong your Pokemon currently is ! All of this thanks to a database accumulated over the years ! Oh and you can also see the and move-pool of the Pokemon thanks to an other add-on one of my friend developed."
I was pretty shocked hearing this mainly because of the term iv, which is the same as inside the game and the fact that she managed to figure the mechanism behind it . The statistic accumulated also seems to be same as the games.
"Wow professor even i can tell this is some amazing invention, if it work it will be huge advantage over the other trainers."
Honestly even with just a Pokemon i would have been extremely grateful. It wasn't just some sweet word to please the professor, the other kid probably wouldn't have understood how wonderful this invention is but this add-on will basically allow me to put my knowledge as a strategist to it's full potential. Well i was quite a shallow one so the true master of this world would definitively destroy me even if i was given the best team possible but it should still allow me to trample the other kid.
"Thanks a lot professor ,to be honest I'm not sure to understand everything it does but if it can help Levi, consider me indebted to you." levi mom obliviously didn't had Levi knowledge, she wasn't even a pokemon trainers, so of course she couldn't understand how great this gift was but as a mom, she still felt grateful seeing her child smile.
Hearing this the professor was a little bit troubled "You really don't have to, just as levy said the Pokédex isn't only useful to the trainers it will also help me. Plus what I'm researching is the growth of the Pokemon as long as Levi train his Pokemon i will get the data i need. "
It seemed my mom wasn't fully convinced as she asked , "still is it realy fine with just this?"
"Mom don't worry becoming a Pokemon master is my dream, i won't slack of and will repay the professor!" i said.
" that's the spirit kid ! But now i think i should show you how to use the Pokédex ,come closer i will show you on zaz " the professor pointed the pokedex at zaz before pressing a button.
I could now see a lot of information appears on the screens .
