Chapter 2: confusion

"Did… that just…"

"Yeah, it did"

"But… why is nothing…"

Donny sat on the chair in disbelief.

"Donny!"

"..."

"Go up there and get your sister out of here"

"Yeah, I will! Definitely, I will!"

Donny said as he quickly charged out of the break room and ran all the way around the building just to get inside the place where his sister was sitting. He couldn't just take the door to the stage because that would ruin the performance that was still going even after the off tune.

.

She was sitting far from the stage but also far from the exit of the building. She was sitting near the aisle, giving her more space, and if she needed it, she could just walk and go to the bathroom without disturbing everyone's view of the show.

She did not watch the show all by herself. She had a guardian with her, which was Donny's friend who lived and was going to school in the United states.

Donny's little sister—Raya—was oblivious to the fact that an off tune could lead to disaster. Only Donny's friend—Justin—was shaking fearfully when he heard the off tune. So scared, to the point he couldn't speak or move. The man was too stunned to speak.

"Wow! That play was great!"

Raya applauded with the crowd as the play had ended.

"I wonder where my brother could be…?"

"M-maybe he's at the breakroom?"

"Huh?"

"Your brot-ther is m-most… likely taking a break there"

"...Justin, why is your face like that?"

Raya's face suddenly appeared in Justin's blurred peripheral vision. His attention was also grabbed by Raya, who was looking concerned at him.

Huh… nothing is happening?

The room was calm, everyone wasn't panicking over the off tune. After the play was over, they applauded and waited for the next show to play. They didn't talk about the off tune whatsoever.

But even after learning all of the facts above, Justin's heart beat didn't slow down. Still beating as fast as ever.

"I… I'm going to the bathroom!"

Justin shouted, almost grabbing everyone's attention by accident as he dashed out of the room.

.

Donny ran through the lobby and bursted into the hallway that leads to the auditorium. His breath was short as he ran half way of the hallway, before stopping on his tracks once he saw Justin running down the same hallway as him.

"W-what are you doing here?! Where's Raya?!"

Donny shouted.

"H-h… s-..."

Justin stuttered every word he was trying to say. He then directed Donny by pointing his finger at the auditorium.

"S-she's looking for you"

"...!!"

.

Now he was out of the break room and was walking around the building from the outside. He wasn't walking alone, a girl was walking beside him and was also doing the same thing.

"Sensing any strong vibration?"

He asked the girl.

"..."

The girl didn't answer.

"Alright then… we should still be on the lookout though, don't let your guard down"

"I've never let my guard down, Maestro Felix"

"Come on… we've been partners for years now, are you still going to call me Maestro?"

"Yes. That will not change even after a decade"

"Heeeeee…."

The girl was wearing a normal white dress with a slight dark blue highlight around her neck and at the end of the dress. Her blonde hair was short.

"?"

"Oh, did you sense anything?"

"Yes, Maestro Felix. There are two flying towards us"

"Huh… well this is bad… Are there any more coming?"

"For now, it's only two that I could sense"

"Well then, we gotta act fast!"

.
