Chapter 9: The game
Gabe didn't know much about Mia, she was just popular because of her academic performance. She was the senior every junior to seek help from in almost every subject, she was also into art but she wasn't into music, she wanted to be an actress as she loved acting but everyone knew she was too good to be an actress.
Students voted Mia to be a lawyer instead because she was good in every subject but what she loved doing was more important than what she could do. And her passion was acting.
Well, it all started in the cafeteria. The boys had finished playing with a girl's heart and were now Gabe's turn. It was done in circles and after his two friends had broken hearts, it was now his turn.
Well, he hadn't played with a girl's feelings for six months and after tossing a ball into the cafeteria to see who was next. It landed just by Mia who was chatting cheerfully with her friends.
However, when she saw the ball, she picked it up only to see that the owner was already close by. With a smile, "Yours," she handed the ball to him before looking at her friends.
When he left, they began to express their feelings for Gabe and his friends. Her friends explained to Mia that the boys, Gabe, Lucian and Hans never last more than three months in a relationship with girls. The minimum was two weeks and the girl would end up crying or quit school because those three were known for breaking the hearts of girls and they were so good at making girls believe they were deeply in love and after a night with her, she becomes one of their achievements.
"That's stupid," Mia had responded to her friends' explanation.
One of them had said, she wished to have a chance with one of them, especially with Gabe in bed. She also wondered how good he could be.
"C'mon, we aren't even adults to experience sex, grow up and focus on your studies." Mia had stated to them.
"You just don't understand."
"I understand...that he's just human like us, he's not that special." Staring his way to see he was watching her, she uttered.
Meanwhile, at his table, Gabe had told his friends that he didn't like the girl the ball landed at. "We never liked them, we just go for it to eventually realize how sweet they are. I'm sure she'll taste better." Lucian, his friend with earrings said. Gabe also had one but wasn't as long as his friend's.
Gabe had told himself to get tattoos after school because it wasn't allowed in high school. He really was a bad boy and was good at playing games.
Now the three boys were into deep games. Games on systems and humans (especially girls), the third one Hans had once fallen in love with his prey.
They literally play with girls' feelings for fun and Mia would be the last as they'd be graduating High school in three months.
The third guy with this crazy haircut, write about games and was so in love with systems. He had wished he'd also possess a system just like his characters but it was just a world he created.
However, his previous girlfriend had been so related to stuff like that so he got mesmerized and got into her until his friends opened his eyes to the true reason why they were doing so.
Breaking her heart was more like breaking his heart but a game was a game, he broke her but ever since she didn't attend the school, he hadn't been the same.
Then it became Lucian's turn and he played well. He had broken his girl's heart after one night.
It was weird for students to be into sexual stuff but they all believed that since they were up to eighteen, they were older and were adults already which was partially true.
Now it was Gabe's turn. Gabe's turn to break a girl's heart and the girl turned out to be the most intelligent third-year student.
But why did it have to be Mia? She was just a poor girl who uses salt to brush her teeth as her sisters weren't able to afford toothpaste.
However, it wasn't about her social status or her body structure or her IQ, it was about how she dealt with the situation. Would she fall in love with Gabe who had no remorse or feelings?
Well, he had three months to win the game which was to make her fall deeply in love with him, have her in bed and then break her.
Howbeit, it was going to be a lot of work to make her fall in love with him. It wasn't the first time though, so it shouldn't be so new to him.
She spat on his face and his reaction made his move on her weak. She was supposed to fall in love with him and here he was making her despise him more.
Staring at his reflection in the bathroom as he peed, he thought about what he was going to do to make her smile at him. At least if she smiles at him for what he probably did to her, something nice, he'd know his chance and stage of where he was in getting her heart.
Soon, after admiring his beauty, he thought of a way to go close to her and make her smile at him. With such a brilliant plan, he smirked evilly at himself and toss his shoulder-length hair to the back.
Now, Gabe as mentioned before was tall, his body and appearance were manly. Even girls older than him fall in love with his appearance. He was too sexy and his facial expression buttressed his manly structure and he was so proud of it.
He was a little beard and the boy had sunken cheeks with gleaming brown eyes which captures women's hearts first. His eyes had this dark aura and always looked so intent. And he was white.
Isabella reached the bank. At first, after seeing that she had much money, the bankers stared at her suspiciously and then disgustingly because their thoughts were right but Isabella decided to ignore it.
She paid her debt and was eventually free. There'd be electricity in her house when she gets home. When she walked away from the counter, she heard murmurs but what could she do?
Isabella reached the street to the hospital her sister was being treated. She was searching for the little girl she helped a day before but unfortunately, she couldn't find her after asking a few people.
Standing and wondering where the little girl could be or had gone, a woman in her 50s approached her.
