Chapter 4: What the fuck? i

Back at her parents home,

She was shocked to find Avery and Troy already waiting for her. They would be still asleep by this time.

Was it because she went wild and spent the night outside?

They would kill her if they knew she not only drank alcohol but also stayed in a stranger's room.

She cooked up a good excuse.

Sammie -Samonda her best friend was a good excuse at a time like this.

She halted and hesitated whether to open the door or just climb her way back the same way she came down.

"Good God Elle, come on in me baby." her mother Avery exclaimed at the sight of her daughter.

With fear and trembling hands, Elle pushed the door open -thanks to the transplanted glass windows in the door, her mother was able to notice her before she even decided to go in.

As she stood in front of her parents, she scratched the back of her head ready to give out whatever excuse she had.

"Look, Mom, I-I-I" she stuttered

"What are you doing standing there, come sit down." Avery pulled her to the sofa.

She uncomfortably sat across from her father who was staring daggers at her. With the strange behavior from her mother and then her dad looking at her the way he would look at his enemy, she knew she was done for good.

"Mom I can explain." she fidgeted before earning herself a slap.

"Why didn't you tell us about you having a boyfriend?" Avery suddenly grabbed her hands.

"What?" she gasped in shock

"Stop playing innocent cards, Elle. We already know everything about your boyfriend. I was disappointed that my daughter hid such precious information from us." Troy pouted like a young boy craving attention.

"What do Mom and Dad mean? "she raised a curious brow.

"Why did you have to his the fact that you and Blake are in a relationship? We understand that you wouldn't want us to worry but still, sneaking out through the window like a stray cat is more dangerous. Thank God Blake is a mannered and kind gentleman or else I wouldn't forget myself if something were to happen to you." Avery sighed.

Elle broke into a cold sweat. She had no idea what her parents were talking about but imagining who the said Blake was gave her chills.

She had no idea who Blake was. The person who came out clean to her parents yet she was scared to collect them that there was no such Blake as her Boyfriend in her life. There was nobody named Blake in her class since she thought it might be one of the boys who made that joke.

Seeing it as a great chance to escape the punishment, Elle pushed the thoughts deep in her head and smiled shyly like an innocent teenager who knew nothing about love.

"Mom forbid me from having any romantic relationship. I was scared you might oppose," she complained.

"Bring that Blake boy home. I want to meet him tomorrow at dinnertime." Troy said and stared at her annoyed as if he had sensed something.

"I can't wait to meet my first daughter's boyfriend." Avery smiled

"But Dad," her face suddenly turned pale and her mouth remained open.

Her mind went blank for a moment. Looking at her father who was hellbent on meeting her boyfriend and her mother who was as excited as a little kid, Elle managed to find her voice and asked in a soft but shocked voice "Is it necessary?"

"Yeah," Avery's eyes lit up.

Clutching her thighs with her sweaty palms, Elle was on the verge of crying because she didn't know such a person as Blake.

And where was she going to get a perfect Blake in just a day and a half?

She came up with a good excuse "He's out of town with his family and won't be back until a week later. That's why I rushed out to meet him." She kept a straight face as she lied through her teeth.

"Then I will have to drag him here by myself," Troy said with an evil smile.

Knowing her father better than anyone else, he could tear down the whole city if he had to, to get what he wanted and nobody could stop him.

"What am I going to do?" Elle thought.

She felt her body getting hotter from the tension and then her head started throbbing.

"Of all the times, why now?" she cursed under her breath.

"I will talk to him myself." She sighed and got up.

"Aren't you joining us for breakfast?" Avery asked.

"I will pass," she replied and paced upstairs

She pushed the door open and closed it with a bang. She quickly fished out her phone from her purse as she sat on her bed.

She looked through her contacts and noticed something. She didn't remember contacting her mother last night, so that meant someone did.

That man she didn't get to see his face.

Thanks to him, she had to look for a nice-looking boy of her age to pretend to be Blake.

She hated him.

She plopped on the bed and stared blankly at the ceiling. Her slender fingers started running on the phone screen and seconds later her lips curved into a cold smirk.

The phone recordings for last night,

"Hello, Is this the household of the Ironhearts?" he-Blake asked as soon as Avery picked up the call.

"Why do you have my daughter's phone? What did you do to my baby girl? Did you kidnap her? How much do you need?" Her mother's voice didn't hide the fear as she asked the questions in one go.

"I'm sorry Mrs Ironheart that I had to call you at this time---" Before he could complete his statement, Avery cut in "What did you do to my daughter?"

She couldn't let the stranger having her daughter nag anymore without telling her the whereabouts of the person she thought would be sleeping by now.

"She's safe with me. I'm sorry to call you at this time but I'm Blake Nikki Madison. I once came to your house but my proposal was rejected. A year ago Elle and I started going out. We wanted to keep it a secret but things went out of hand." he explained the situation to the fuming Avery.

"If you lay those filth hands on my daughter I'm gonna kill you," Avery warned through her gritted teeth

"I swear I will never do such a thing." he denied

"Better do," Avery shouted

"She's gonna spend a night with me." Blake blurted out

"You son of a bitch. Bring my daughter right now." she kicked Troy who was sleeping soundly off the bed and got up "Put her on the phone. I'm gonna kill you both. Put that humble sinner on the line right now." she jerked off the bed

"She's sleeping." Blake softly said.

"You," Avery warned with anger that could tear down the whole building when her husband snatched the phone away from her.

"Make sure she comes back unscratched or I don't know when my craziness will stop," he said and hung up
