Chapter 8: Chapter 8 'What do you guys eat?'
I left the room and Jayden was waiting.
"Finally" he said.
"It is exactly fifteen minutes, don't complain!"
"Okay okay, sugarplum." I sighed when he said 'Sugar'.
"Okay Sour Plum"
"Ha ha.." He rolled his eyes.
"Okay first we go to the kitchen to get some food for you and then I give you a tour of the mason or house or whatever you want to call it."
"I prever call it 'home full of kidnappers'."
"Or a house full of bloodthirsty vampires who can drink you empty in seconds if you keep on going like that, Flower" Jayden said seriously. I swallowed.
Don't let him drag you down, Aurora stay calm he won't do anything to you!
"'Flower'"?
"I like that better" he laughed
"I don't like any one of those, so just call me whatever I am normally called you know, my name Aurora."
"Sassy" He said.
"Who, me?"
"Yes, whatever Flower come with me." And of course I could not react, because he grabbed my arm and dragged me along.
"I can walk by myself, you know, so you can let me go Jayden!"
"Okay" And he finally let me go.
We walked down the stairs and we turned right Jayden stopped in front of a door.
"This is the dining room." And he unlocked the door.
We walked into the room. I saw different tables, it looks like a canteen.
"Let's go to the kitchen to make something for you"
We walked straight through the room that is about 15 meters wide and the length is also about 15 meters.
"Come on keep on walking, flower" And he pulled my arm.
"Yeah yeah, calm down sour plum." I pulled my arm loose.
"Well this is the kitchen" and opened another door and we came into a large kitchen.
"What do you want?"
"Surprise me."
"Okay, what you want, but if you don't like it you should not start to whine!"
I left the kitchen and sat down at one of the tables.
The door of the dining room opened and my father came smiling towards me.
"What are you doing here alone, Pearl?"
"I wait for my cook to prepare my food."
"'Your cook?'" And he raised an eyebrow.
"Jayden"
"Ah." He sat down beside me.
"What do you think of Jayden?" My father asked.
"Neutral, why?"
"Oh just I was curious, because he is your protector and you do not get rid of him so easily."
"I have noticed that."
"You've become such an beautiful woman, Aurora I still can't believe I haven't seen you grow up ..." He said with much regret.
"You shouldn't have let me down!" That is a sensitive subject, so without knowing it I snapped at him, it shot like bullets from out mouth.
"I'm sorry.. but it was for your own safety." I sighed
"Yeah, I am sorry I shouldn't have responded like that to you.."
"It doesn't matter honey, I understand. How do you like it here?"
"Do you want me to be honest?"
"Yes please."
"I miss home, mom and my friends."
"I asked Myra if she wanted to come by."
"And?" I asked impatiently.
"She wouldn't love anything more than that, but everyone is suspicious about you missing, so she's pretty busy with that, Pearl."
"Then will you let me go home?"
"No, honey, you are in danger." I sighed
"When am I not in danger?" I grumbled.
"When you are here." Jayden responded.
Jayden walked in.
"Vincent." Jayden said and he nodded at my father
Jayden put down a plate for me.
"Madam" Jayden said.
He made an egg with vegetables and ham through it.
"Thank you."
I was stuffing the food inside while Jayden was talking to my father about business matters.
"Are you not going to eat?"
"We usually eat once a day." My father said.
"What do you guys eat?" I asked, but that was a stupid question I already knew that.
"Blood" Jayden said numb.
"From which source?"
"Usually from people." Said Jayden.
"Who have signed up for it voluntarily." He added quickly.
"Do they live here too?"
"Not in this house, but in the garden there is another house with enough space where ten to twenty people can live." Said my father.
I had eaten my food and I felt pretty uncomfortable. We were just talking about what they eat, well actually drink and what they drink is in me..
"Is there anything wrong, Pearl?" My father asked.
"It's just weird that vampires and those kinds of creatures really do exist."
"Yes I know, when Jayden said he had turned me into a vampire, I couldn't believe it either."
"No haha" Jayden laughed out of the blue.
"Why are you laughing?" I asked.
"I suddenly thought of the moment I had changed him and that he woke up when I said he was a vampire he completely lost it and he hit himself to see if it was a dream, it looked very funny!"
"Not funny Jayden!" my father said, but he had to laugh a little too.
"Okay, Aurora, now that you've finished eating, are you ready for a tour of the house?" Jayden asked.
"Yes, I am okay with that."
"Well have fun Aurora, Jayden" My father stood up and walked away and turned around again, probably he thought something else that he wanted to say.
"Jayden, I want to discuss something with you later" He said seriously.
"I will come to the office later." Jayden responded.
"Okay, see you then."
"Well Flower are you coming?"
¨Yes, yes jeez I am already coming," I grumbled and I followed Jayden, ready for a tour in the house where I am stuck and cannot leave.
