Chapter 2: Desire
Amidst the winter season in the affluent neighborhood of Seoul, South Korea, where only the wealthiest individuals reside.
Iseul's typical morning routine involved waking up at 7 am, proceeding to the bathroom to groom herself, and taking a moment to observe her reflection in the mirror. Upon examining her appearance, Iseul was pleased with her long, dark hair and her statuesque height of 5 feet 6 inches. She was widely regarded as the most beautiful girl in her school and relished being the center of attention, basking in the adoration of her peers.
She donned her costly academy attire and positioned herself before the reflection, striving to produce a smile that appeared as effortless as possible.
Descending the staircase, she made her way to the kitchen where she took a seat alongside her parents. Her mother, upon seeing her, voiced her dissatisfaction, saying in an irritated tone, "You don't appear well today. I suggest you apply more cosmetics to conceal your dark under-eye circles," as she gently touched her face.
Meanwhile, her father, who was engrossed in reading a report regarding the company, remained unfazed by her appearance, but conveyed a dispassionate message, stating, "As the future of the company, my daughter, I cannot tolerate any missteps in your academic and professional pursuits"
With a smile gracing her features, Iseul gracefully responds to her father, "Of course, Father."
She continues to savor her breakfast as she notices someone entering the dining room. Lifting her gaze, she beholds Park Joon, who, now at the age of 18, has grown to a height of six feet tall and retains his stunning blond locks.
Despite his status as one of the wealthy individuals she is familiar with, it is his unique mix of Korean heritage from his mother and American ancestry from his father that truly sets him apart and lends him such a handsome appearance.
The initial encounter between Iseul and Park Joon occurred when she was seven years old. Subsequently, their connection became unbreakable, much to the satisfaction of both their families.
In recognition of this newfound bond, the families established an agreement to further solidify their relationship. Now, they are in a romantic relationship that has the potential to culminate in marriage in the future.
As they leave the house and make their way towards their designated car, Iseul and Park Joon enter the car. Joon instructs the driver to start the journey and turns towards Iseul, who greets him with a captivating, radiant smile.
Inclining towards her, the tips of their noses touch and they share a moment of intimate respiration.
As Park Joon's actions progress and he begins to kiss and caress her neck with his lips, Iseul leans back in response.
Iseul experiences a sensation of pleasure as she reaches up to grasp Park Joon's head and draw it towards her, biting his lips in a display of affection.
With a bold and assertive motion, Park Joon presses his tongue between Iseul's lips, coaxing them open.
As Park Joon endeavors to pursue his advances further, Iseul intercedes, pushing him away and reminding him that they are nearly at their destination. Although he temporarily halts his actions, he nonetheless takes Iseul's hand and places a tender kiss upon it.
It is intriguing to observe the behavior of Iseul and Park Joon, who act as though they are two individuals deeply in love, yet in reality, they are driven by an all-consuming obsession and a distorted, abnormal attraction towards each other.
In the initial stages of their relationship, Iseul and Park Joon did not exhibit the same behaviors as they do now.
While it is true that both individuals are physically attractive, it was the perception that they were the only sane individuals amidst a sea of madness that initially drew them towards each other. Both Iseul and Park Joon shared a common affliction, a mental illness that shaped their relationship.
