Chapter 2: The Treaty
"Then that definitely means, they're watching over you" the woman said
"And since when did dreams start having such meanings" Adriele asked to not get an answer but a hum from her nanny. Adriele had grown into a beautiful young lady. Today was her eighteenth birthday and a party is going to be held in Myrlaine mansion.
"Hurry up Adi", the woman said heading to the young girl's closet to pull out a beautiful royal blue gown. " You're going to look lovely in this" the woman said
"Thanks, nanny Cynthia..."
"Has everything been set yet" Adriele asked the woman called Cynthia.
"Yes, of course. You personally supervised the work, which made you go to bed late last night"
"Don't worry nanny, I'll get some sleep before the party. Immediately after I get back home, promise" she said raising her hand as a sign of the promise.
"Ok, get ready, I'll go get the carriage ready and ask Henry to accompany you" Cynthia said with a smile as she walked out of the room.

"What about the alliance with Silverland, your majesty" a man asked the king.
"Yes your majesty, the alliance was a one hundred years contract and it's going to expire in the next four months" another man added.
Silverland and Kleevland were enemies in the times of old. It was a time of mass blood shed until a treaty was signed between them. Peace between the two Nations for a hundred years which is going to elapse in four months.
Though it was a long time ago there were still some people who were not pleased with the treaty and still kept hatred in their hearts and were only waiting for the treaty to expire so they can attack.
"So, my kingsmen what do you suggest we do" the King, Jerome Knightdale asked.
"I suggest we, wait for the treaty to end, then we attack. Some of the people of silverland are not welcoming to our people, who knows one day they might try to wipe us out." The reason people could not fight with each other was because the treaty had a law which stated that any party (people of Kleevland and Silverland), involved in creating discord (fighting with each other because the person is from a different country,) will be given the capital punishment. Some still indulged in such acts in secret but most of them were the higher ups so not all of them were found out.
"Mr Vince, how can you say that?" another man protested against the idea of the man called Vince
"Why can't I say that?, Mr Rovero" Vince retorted. The murmurs in the room kept increasing.
Seeing this his majesties son, Killian rose up from his seat to give a possible solution. Bowing down to his father and the elders he said "Your majesty and my Elders, the treaty which was signed, to make sure our people live together in peace and in health. Silverland, has more natural resources which helps us and we have more fertile soils to provide food for them, and again we have been trading with them for the longest time now. I won't think it right, if we were to be alienated to each other because of the treaty expiring. So I suggest we renew the contract or treaty" saying this he bowed and took back his seat.
"Renew the treaty?, how do we do that?," Mr Vince asked with an annoyed look.
"Yes, King Norman and I had previously talked about this pressing issue and we came up with a decision of a marriage. A union between both royal families". King Jerome stated. To have the people murmur in agreement and disagreement to the decision made
At the end of the meeting, the final decision was made and the treaty was going to be renewed, through the marriage of both royal families.
