Chapter 335: Chapter 334: Rising Tensions Part 9

After Aron and Evanora left the camp, they slowly began to make their way toward the Aethelian settlement, though doing so very slowly and without rushing. As they walked through the small grassy path in the now foggy wooded area, Evanora occasionally kept glancing around in all directions as if looking for something.

Seeing her do this, Aron couldn't help but ask, "Is something the matter?"

Evanora stopped in her tracks and looked at Aron before looking around again and asking, "Evanora doesn't see any birds." 

It was a strange comment to make, but now that she had made it, Aron couldn't help but glance at the trees and enhance the scope of his senses. Sure enough, he couldn't sense the presence of many birds in the area, unlike when they had first arrived. "Maybe it's just a migration. Although the ecosystem doesn't change much here with the seasons largely remaining the same, it's possible that the birds do move every now and then."
