Chapter 9: Disaster

Being an above-average team through the years Teiko Junior finally has the chance to establish a legacy with this 1st-year team. This if they manage to win 3 years in a row.
The team they were playing today wasn't that strong if they ever got through the 1st phase it was a lot, although excited the team was feeling pretty confident after all, their trust for each other was completely unshakeable or so it seemed.
The team that was suited geared up to the game. The new blue, white with the letters and numbers in black just gives a the team fresh look. Zen rocked the used number 01 which represented his might in the team. And rocking the white basketball shoes that Momoi chose for him.
Zen is taking Aomine's place has a Small Forward.
Nijimura as a Power Forward.
Then we have Akashi has a Point Guard.
Atsushi has a Center.
Midorima has the Shooting Guard.
Warming up, they immediately saw a team that was excited and wanted to win the game. Looking at the enemy school they couldn't help but feel pity for them, their dreams would end quickly and that was just how it is.
Looking at his teach Teiko's Head Coach could help but smile and say ''Go and have fun guys.''
The team just looked at each other and started laughing while walking to the court waiting for the game to begin.
when the whistle rang and like this the 1st game of the Junior High started.
Atsushi won the tip-off and passed the ball to Akashi that dribbled the ball to the enemy side of the court, suddenly he passed the ball to Midorima who was behind the three-point arc, with the ball in his hand he simply did his usual throw managing to hit the 3 points. while looking at the enemy team he said ''It's unlucky for you, today is my lucky day, with the lucky item I won't miss.''
Everyone in the enemy team even in the stands was looking at Midorima like was crazy but he simply ignored them.
''He really should stop saying these things out loud, it's embarrassing,'' Zen said while looking at the small crowd.
It was 16-4 when Zen got the ball he looked at his team and said '' you guys are cruel playing for yourselves there's no fun if I don't join in.'' he said while accelerating to the enemy side of the court alone. With Super Human Physiology his boost in stats didn't help his defender who was trying hard to maintain his balance this until Zenbonced the ball toward him, not even thinking it was a trap the defender extended his arm in order to pick the ball, in the last moment Zen pulled the ball back and with a step over and ran to the hop, the rest of the 2 other players of the enemy team came so Zen jumped forward to go for a layup when, when they realized what Zen was trying to do he both tried to jump and go for a block, so he shifted with his reverse layup.
Looking at this play the crowd couldn't help but applaud. There could be heard girls screaming his name in the stands.
And Just like that the 1st half of the match was Teiko winning by a large margin 62-21. looking at the score Zen wasn't satisfied but because he was playing the same position has Aomine he had to get subbed sometimes. Even though he played less than his teammates he was the one who scored the most points.
Zen didn't go for teamplay that much since it wasn't in his playstyle. after all, he was at the receiving end looking for openings in the enemy defense,.
The enemy team intended to fight to the end wich made Atsushi really annoyed because the thing he hated the most was people that didn't know when to give up.
Obviously apart from him, everyone else was looking at them with respect.
The game ended with Teiko with 126-44 looking at the score Teiko players smiled and were quite hyped about it.
The scene of the enemy team crying was unpleasant for the geniuses but what can they do, winning is everything for them.
Back in the lockerroom Aomine couldn't help but say with a bored look.''T today the game didn't get me fired up, how disappointing.''
''Aka-chin do you think every team will be like them?'' Said Atsushi while looking at Akashi.
Akashi just looked at them and said ''The best teams will start Playoffs, so we just need to win 2 more games.''
Kuroko on the side was looking at the game with a smile.''They really are strong.''
Separating with Akashi since he had to do his work in the club. Zen couldn't wait and go home to talk to his mother about this Victory. The moment he got home however he was looking at his mother passed out in the ground. Throwing everything aside Zen ran to her mother and started analyzing her.'' Mom, why didn't you tell me anything about it?''.
Shiori who looked pale looked at her son and said '' You shouldn't be the one worrying about me, It's me who had to worry about you.'' She started coughing.
Zen became even more anxious, watching her mother in this state made him remember the pain in his last life, that bitter filling of when his last mother died and her pained look each time he visited her, remembering all these moments, emotions built up and he couldn't help but cry, tears fell down his face.
Looking at the 2nd person who made his life so happy he couldn't help but care, just like how he loved his former mother Shiori took the same role in his empty heart, and now it was going to the same way.
How could he not cry?''Unfair life is really unfair...'' he said in a low tone.
With this happening something inside Zen woke up, his eyes turned color permanently one being golden and the other red, his ability restrictions were lifted, his Emperor Eye had awakened and yet he wasn't happy, he only feels his heart tighten and looked like he couldn't breathe.
''Ahh don't worry mom I will stay with you, be it for the good or bad, it was like this in the last life and will be like this in this life....'' he said while carrying her outside with tears still falling from his delicate face,hitting her pale mother who was in his tight embrace.
