Chapter 1: Karasuno High School
Third POV
A boy with blue hair and blue eyes is walking through the school grounds. He looked quite pale and slightly short for his age at around 168 cm(5'6). He looked quite fit and slightly muscular.
His right leg had an orthopedic boot and he is slightly walking with a limp. He had gotten used to it by now as it had been nearly nine weeks since that incident.
'Just two more weeks and I can remove it and finally play volleyball ' .
The school entrance and the grounds looked quite busy with older students trying to recruit new members into their clubs.
Person A : "Basketball, join the baseball club."
Person B : "Intretsted in rugby. "
Person C : "Have you ever played showing."
Person D : "Swimming ! It feels great, join our club."
No one seemed to notice the boy as he is freely walking away from there. It's as if he has no presence at all.
Kuroko's POV
I reached the map of the school showing where all the stands are kept at and then went to the volleyball stand.
There's a man with messy black hair. He had brown eyes along with glasses. He wore a green jumpsuit over a white shirt. He seemed to be the team coach.
I waited for the man to notice me but he never did so I decided to introduce himself
"Excuse me ! "
The man flinched at the sudden voice and finally noticed me.
Takeda: "I am sorry. I didn't notice you there. My name is Ittetsu Takeda. How can I help you."
"Hello my name is Tetsuya Kuroko. Is this the volleyball club's stall? If so, I would like to join the club."
(A/n : Tetsuya is his first name in the anime but it is changed to his last/family name )
Takeda: "Yes, this is the stand. Just a minute I will give you the application. "
He handed me the application.
Takeda: "The fields with an asterisk are compulsory, you can choose whether to fill the others or not. I also want your name and class in this book as a way to see all the applicants. "
"Oh. Ok."
I then write my name and class in the book. It seemed fairly empty as there are only two names above me.
Kei Tsukishima

'It's expected I guess I do come early.' I thought.
I return the book to him after signing.
"Are you our coach, sensei ?" I asked him.
Takeda: "I am the teacher advisor of the club. I am also the coach but not a technical one."
I knew what it meant he is saying though he is the coach on paper he has neither volleyball knowledge nor experience as a coach.
"So who is the coach? Will we meet him at practice ?" I asked.
Takeda: "I am sorry. We currently don't have a coach but you don't have to worry your senpais are quite good and they can definitely help you. We are also currently looking for one. We will find someone quite soon."
I was shocked hearing this. How can a team succeed without a coach? Is it even possible? I try to think of teams without a coach and come out empty. I don't know a single team without a coach and I played in the junior high nationals.
"OK. Well good luck with your search then sensei." I said not knowing what to say.
"Should I fill and give you the application for now?" I asked.
Takeda: "No. You can either give the application now or bring it to the court on Saturday evening. That is when the first years officially join the club. "
"I will bring the form on Saturday then. Thank you. " I said trying to sink in the shocking news about the coach.
I bowed to him,put the form in the backpack and left.
Takeda POV
I looked at the boy leaving and saw him slightly walking with a limp confused I tried to look at his legs but was interrupted by a voice.
"Takeda sensei here are the files you asked for. "
I take the files from a girl with shoulder length black hair, grey eyes and a mole on the left side of her chin. She is Kiyoko Shimizu, the third year manager of the boys volleyball club.
"Oh! Thank you Shimizu - san. I will come back here within a few minutes can you handle the stand until then?" I asked her.
Kiyoko: "Sure"
I thanked her once again and left with the files.
