Chapter 11: Talk

After they arrived back at school, Eric first went to take a shower, and then went to meet Mr. Saltzman.
*Knock*
*Knock*
"Please come in," Eric heard Mr. Saltzman say. After hearing this, Eric opened the door and walked inside.
"Please, sit down," Mr. Saltzman said which Eric complied.
"Sorry to bother you again. I know I haven't been honest with you and didn't treat you as I should have, which I am deeply sorry about that, but the situation that we are in currently caused me to behave that way," Mr. Saltzman continued. He wanted to say other things when Eric interrupted what he wanted to say.
"Yeah, I know. Monster attacks and stuff, I have heard that multiple times. But having a rough few days, weeks, or even months can't be the reason for you to try and put me in a cell, it is just an excuse. Just yesterday you were boasting about being a family here, then the next day you wanted to put me in a cell because I looked suspicious in your eyes."
"You said the supernatural world is dangerous and now I see why. The headmaster of the school that is supposed to protect supernatural children is putting them in a cell, like it is nothing for you. It was so natural for you, that it was like you have done something similar to this before." Hearing this Mr. Saltzman's eyes went wide for a moment before they went back to normal.
"At first, I really was quite excited about the prospect of this school being like big a family, because I am an orphan, as you know, but now I am having second thoughts about this place, and I am really not sure. Because their headmaster is a hypocritical man," After saying this Eric stopped talking.
Seeing this Mr. Saltzman started to convince Eric. "I know that I didn't treat you fairly, but …..."
When Eric stopped talking he started to think about his next course of action. 'What should I do? I think if I want to be in the middle of the interesting things that happen, I have to stay in this town. The main character of Teen Wolf is Scott.'
I don't know about Legacies but from the bits of information that I have gathered, Hope is probably the main character of Legacies. Because first of all her surname is the same as the original vampires, and the name of the show is Legacies, which could refer to Hope as she is the daughter of one of them, I don't remember which one but that shouldn't matter.'
'I have two options, first is to stay in this school, the second one is to go to the other high school where Scott is currently. He is going to monitor me either way if I stay in this town, but I think if I stay at this school, he will lower his guards. I can also use my powers more freely by staying at this school. I think it is more beneficial for me to stay here.'
'I also have to avoid giving him my weaknesses if I have any, and also give him a fake weakness so he can have peace of mind because if my diet is like what Ghouls' diet, he is going to need it so that he thinks he can take me out, but I have to think what should my weakness be. By the way, I am also a hypocrite, aren't I?'
"We can also help you to find your parents, so I really hope you can reconsider your decision," Eric then heard Mr. Saltzman finish talking.
"I don't know Mr. Saltzman, what you are saying is great and all, but I need more time to think about it, so can I go now?" Eric said.
"Of course, I understand. But I think we should do our test, right now. You haven't eaten anything for at least twenty four hours, and we don't want you to become hungry, unprepared," Mr. Saltzman said with a smile.
"Alright, but not in that dungeon, for real," Eric answered.
"Ok. I know that you didn't like how I behave before, so this time I am going to bring Hope so she can remind me if I did anything wrong," Mr. Saltzman explained.
"Fine by me," Eric answered.
'He thinks, he is talking to a kid. Bringing the strongest person in the school just so she can remind him, who is he kidding?' Eric thought to himself.
"Great, wait here until I go, and get Hope," Mr. Saltzman said with a smile, and then left the office.
'I have to think of a weakness quickly before they come. I know he won't start poking me with everything he can get his hands on to find about my weakness but it is better to be safe than sorry. I think silver is a good weakness. No that won't do, I might touch it unknowingly without realizing and when they see I don't have any kind of reaction to it, I would be busted. Then, fire is the one. I can't touch it unknowingly, and I know I can feel pain, but my tolerance of it is really high, because of the broken finger accident, so when I touch fire I just have to scream super loud, and I would be fine, I think. I might think of something better later, but for no- ' Eric's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door opening.
"Are you ready?" Eric heard Mr. Saltzman open the door and say.
"Yeah," Eric said as he got up from his seat, and walked towards the door. Behind the door, he also saw Hope standing with her arms crossed over her chest.
"Which test, do you want to do first? Physical, or diet?" Mr. Saltzman asked.
"Let's start with the physicals," Eric answered.
"Ok, then follow me," Mr. Saltzman said.
Eric, Hope, and Mr. Saltzman went to the gym together. "So, the first thing that we are going to test right now is to see how much weight you can carry. You see those weights there?" After arriving Mr. Saltzman said as he pointed towards the corner of the gym.
"Yes, I am not blind," Eric answered.
"Good, each of them weighs about 60 pounds (27 Kg), we are going to stack two of them on a barbell to see how much you can carry. We will increase them by two each time you can carry them without an issue,"
