Chapter 21: Vewolf

"It doesn't matter, Henderson," says Fiona to that knight. "I can control that beast by myself, even without his help."

"Beast? What beast?" I ask Fiona feeling like a student who realized is now in twelve grade and in a few months, he will have a BAC exam.

Fiona glances at that knight then turn to me and tell me something that changed my perception of Fiona's personality and her appearance.

"Kid. I am not a normal human being."

"What do you mean by that?" I ask Fiona feeling scared for what she is going to say next.

"I was bitten by a green wolf, who is also known as vewolf."

"A vewolf?"

"Is like a werewolf, but I don't eat humans or animal meat, just green stuff like vegetables and fruits... The thing is, this kind of werewolf is a very strange one."

Fiona takes a break from speaking to me, he looks at that knight, who nodded his head knowing what she will do it would be alright. Fiona raises her left hand upwards, then that hand that is covered by the metal from which the armour is made begins to fall piece by piece on the floor of this chariot. Fiona's left hand was released from the armour and it began to become a hairy green with black-yellow spots, and her fingers became claws about half a meter long. Those claws are red and black, but a greenish liquid flows from them. Fiona looks at me with that motherly look that tells the child that everything is fine and begins to explain to me what happened.

"You see, my left hand can turn into a vewolf's. This mutation I can make is because that vewolf bite gave me the strength to turn into one. However, I can't control this total transformation and every time I tried to do this thing, I ended up in prison because I vandalized a lot of gardens, squares, or even houses, but I haven't done any harm to a person so far. But, I can partially control some of the transformations, like now with this hand."

"Man, that is crazy," I say to Fiona feeling so shocked because of this unexpected situation. "Does it hurt when you transform?"

"No. It doesn't hurt..." Fiona looked at me feeling like a man who regrets he didn't tell his younger cousin what he was thinking about him when he was a little kid. "I am sorry I could tell you sooner. I was trying to keep it a secret from you, but, I think you are ready to know."

I looked at Fiona speechless. What should I say in this kind of situation? Fiona has a soft spot when it comes to those things. Diana told me one time when we were both of us at the table that night about Fiona soft spot. " She truly cares about their dear peoples but she doesn't like to show it because she is afraid to hurt them or to make them scared," she said Diana to me at that time. I look at Fiona and say to her.

"You know what. That thing is not bad."

"Really ?" says Fiona feeling relieved and a little bit scared.

"Yeah. If something like this ever happened, I will immediately try to stop you."

That knight laugh at me and asked.

"How do you think you are going to stop that? By putting to sleep or something?"

"Not really... That vampire spell."

After I said that, the knight has started to laugh much louder, while Gregonson feeling ashamed he is working with that kind of knight.

"Vampire spell? I bet you can't even cast a healing spell."

Fiona makes her hand in the normal shape and he said to Henderson.

"To know Henderson, my disciple can do the "So No Chi Sadame" spell better than your girlfriend. Which is inexisted like always, right ?"

I observed Henderson's face has turned red after that, Henderson laugh at me and he says.

"Yeah, right. Then why he won't do that spell righ-

"Henderson," says Gregonson while he stopped staying in that weird shape and whispers to himself.

Fiona and I were surprised that a disciple ordered the man she was working with to stop behaving like a fool. But Henderson, hearing what his squire said, decides to take off his iron glove, clench his fist, and punch Gregonson in the fat face. When the fist collided with that girl, I was amazed that Gregonson did not shy away and did not show the pain he received from that fist. Henderson grins at Gregonson and tries to whisper to them, but it seemed more of a threat at a slow volume.

"I'm going to kill you, fat monk."

"And what?" says Gregonson to Henderson, which makes him much more furious.

Henderson was about to throw another fist to his squire, but he did something completely unexpected, he looked into Henderson's eyes, and he stood petrified in front of Gregonson in a position where he was ready to graft another fist. Henderson is scared and decides to slowly sit down and leave everything alone because he doesn't deserve to be attacked. I look at Gregonson, who turns to me with the look that the good teacher presents when his favourite student goes through an unfortunate event such as drug abuse for example.

"I am so sorry for what my leader did to you. I hope you could forget everything this man has done to you," he said that while he makes a bow to show how truly sorry is for the incident he did.

"I-It is alright," says Fiona to Gregonson. "It was always like this anyway."

When Fiona said this, Henderson glared at her, then when Gregonson glanced at her again, he began to look like a child at the supermarket and couldn't buy what he wanted because of his poor stepmother. he can't scream because if he does that he will be raped by his stepmother who loves children ... maybe too much.

"So. Why are you working for him? " asked Fiona to Gregonson.

" It's simple. His father hired me to be his squire. The payment is good because his father has given to me a house, clothes and even a weapon, which I don't need it."

"Wait. That house was yours?" I ask Gregonson because I thought that house was for him and his squire.

"Yeah. It is mine. But the knife you have delivered is in a good shape. Maybe I will use it in a fight."

"You have visited his house?" says Fiona to me.

"Yes, " I respond to Fiona's question. "Diana made me deliver a knife to his house."

"Which is good in the kitchen," says Gregonson to Fiona. "That Diana girl is very good at blacksmithing. "

"Not just blacksmithing," says Fiona to Gregonson. "She can even work in the kitchen. Pretty cool, right?"

"Yeah... " says Gregonson, embarrassed by Fiona reactions because almost every woman can cook and Fiona is not in that category. "Anyway, Judah. I heard you can make a vampire spell? It is the one where you have caught those two bandits ?"

To the question Gregonson said, I didn't want to comment, but I decided to tell the truth when I confirmed that I was the vampire who caught the two bandits a few days ago, Henderson looked at me in amazement, but Gregonson didn't. he was amazed and asked me another question.

"Interestingly, transformation spells can usually happen only if you are an experienced wizard. Somehow when you found out you are a wizard?"

"When I lived at the Orphanage I started to feel some spells and magic into my veins. But, I don't know the level of magicians. How does that even work?"

"I have no idea, my friend. I just a simple monk who has learned the fighting techniques. But I know some wizards who have shared some of their life with me while I travelled around the world."

"Cool. " I respond to Gregonson. "But, where are you from?"

"I am from a distant land from those lands you are living in. I am from Nepalios. A kingdom where children are learning martial arts techniques, taekwondo, and re-taekwondo. I left that kingdom because I have finished my training and I decide to go around the world to find a place where I can live and have friends."

I looked at gregonson and I observed something at him. When he told me we wanted to live and have friends I started to consider something, I and him have some good goals in life who are almost the same.

After a few minutes of silence, our carriage has stopped. Gregonson looks at the windows and he told this is the place where he and his knight have to fight. Both of us says goodbye to each other, Fiona and Henderson didn't say their goodbyes because of the thing that happened earlier and I did not even say goodbye to him, but gregonson says goodbye to Fiona and wished good luck in the fight, which is nice to hear while we have to fight an army to obtain land.
