Chapter 144: The Thing I'm Most Afraid Of

Once upon a time, there was a person who was favored by the heavens ― favored too much that he was given a destiny to fulfill. 

It was said that once he was able to fulfill it, he could finally have his own fate, written by himself. 

But as people learned the trick to becoming him, out of desperation and greed be their reason may be, the promised deal for this person suddenly ended. It was erased and when he asked why, the heavens only responded simply with one sentence. 

"You are the world's number one." 

Thus, in every world and every life, he was pushed to be the number one. 

However, with the numerous perks that came with becoming number one also came its disadvantages. 

Disadvantages such as having too many enemies that prevented him to fall asleep peacefully at night, or make a poem for someone who was actually dear to him and not to someone he didn't even enjoy a meal with.
