It's night that made mist and murk unlace,
I can see that you want to punch my face,
Looking with the eyes that brim with hate,
But we can't escape this moment, must be fate.
You shout, you seethe and smack the words,
Flapping your lips to say "You nerd!",
And despite all the venom we trade,
I'm just a wee bit afraid,
'cuz its not the first time, you see,
Consumed in hate, you lost the key
to sanity.
I see you've clenched your fist,
as your other hand injures my wrist,
And your eyes glare down at mine,
Without a hint of heart to shine.
I'm calm, refusing to back down,
And watch your temple adorned with frown,
I can see that you want to punch me face,
It's not your fault
I bear the assault
