Chapter 10: Tutorial.29

My heart was still racing, and my body was tense. It took about a minute until I finally calmed down, processing what had just happened. I realized, clearly, that I was no longer in danger.

I had almost died. I felt as though I was dying. Although the sensation of cold and emptiness physically disappeared, it still dominated my mind. For the first time since entering the tutorial, I had truly faced death. My lineage skill hadn't given me any warning, and I received no response while my body was slowly consumed.

If the system hadn't healed me as it did, I would be dead by now. There was nothing I could have done. I like to fight; I like dancing between life and death, dodging fatal attacks by a hair's breadth. I feel the adrenaline of coming out victorious.
