Chapter 6: Chapter 6
Mark extended his hand to Orion and helped him stood up, "Are you the one who helped me?" Orion asked.
"No, it was a function of the library, 'Fights are not allowed to the library! rule breakers will be punished extremely!' Mark yelled which was enough for everyone in the library to hear, the library was for reading and learning, not for fighting, those thugs who attempted to attack Orion in the library had turned to dust.
"I still thank you, Mister Librarian" Orion said as he bowed.
"Just call me Librarian Mark, what is your name?" Mark introduced himself then asked.
"My name is Orion" he introduced himself.
"Hmm, So Orion could I talk with you for a minute," Mark said.
"Yes, of course" Orion immediately replied.
"Follow me," Mark said then made his way into one of the rooms in the library which he only had access to, the room was very large and there were also tons of books here, the only difference was a king-sized bed in the side and other items, "you can sit there" Mark pointed on the sofa, he then took a tea and poured two cups, one for him and one for Orion.
"Umm, What is it you wanted to talk about?" Orion asked.
"I won't beat around the bush then," Mark said then stared at Orion, "Do you want to be my disciple?" Mark asked.
"A disciple?" Orion was confused, is Librarian Mark asking for him to be his apprentice librarian? he still wanted to go around this new world, so of course, he doesn't like to stay in a single place, "Yes, you don't have to worry, you won't be a librarian" Mark said, Orion sighed in relief but he was still curious about this disciple thing.
"What am I going to do when I become your disciple?" Orion asked.
"It's simple, you just have to do the things im going to ask you, I will also train and teach you," Mark said as he picked his cup and took a sip.
"Why me?"Orion asked.
"Because you are special, I noticed that you have a thing called Wizardroot which is a rare thing" Mark explained.
"Wizardroot? what is that?" Orion asked again.
"Wizardroot is a rare and special thing, the person who has this is fitted to become a wizard or possibly a magus, they carry a very large mana capacity, but the side effects of having this is that the body will be paralyzed, rendering the owner from moving." Mark said
"W-why did they got paralyzed?" Orion asked, he wanted to know, maybe this is the reason he was crippled.
"Due to the large mana capacity, the body can't take the burden, which is the cause of being paralyzed" Mark explained.
"Is there a way for someone to be able to move again?" Orion asked, Is there still some hope, Orion was eager and hopes that there will be, he wants to move, he wants to play with his sister, he wants to hug her, she had done many things for him that he felt bad for it, it just leaves a bad taste for him, he was the oldest but his younger sister does things for him.
Do they know the feeling? your sister that was supposed to be free and having fun in her younger days was there beside him every day, taking care of him, Do they know? not being able to move and see is nothing compared to knowing someone precious to you sacrificing themselves just for you, he does, and it pained him greatly, he wanted to hug and tell his sister everything is okay now, every day he was worried, every day, he was concerned, every day, he was longing to see, how does she look when she smiles.
"I bet she looks beautiful" he thought, but reality pulled him back.
"Normally there was no way," Mark said calmly, Orion froze, he didn't notice but tears came out of his eyes, he started to cry just then Mark spoke again "But I didn't say I don't have a way," he said calmly, Orion opened his eyes and stared at Mark, tears were still falling out of his eyes.
"Please" Orion immediately stood up from his seat and moved to the side and kowtowed to Mark, "Don't do that, you just have to be my disciple and I will help you" Mark grabbed his arms and made him stood up, Orion's eyes changed ad he wiped his tears away, he then kowtowed again "Disciple greets Master," he said.
"Rise," Mark said calmly, Dr. Pinochio said that he can't do anything for the war, but it never stated that his disciple can't join, as for why he decided to join, being a person who had lived for trillion of years, Mark grew bored, now that he found something interesting, how can he let this chance go, he may not interfere, but he will be the guy behind the scene, actually there was also one reason, he didn't like those people, even though he didn't accept the ownership for the earth.
It was forced to him, but he was the owner, it was much better if he cultivates a leader that is much more benefitting, Mark smiled, he will be the man behind the scenes, he will support his people from the back, 'don't underestimate bored people!'
