Kalki was flabbergasted by this development; he was inside the novel but what astonished him more was the situation he was in. From the memory of the original, he got to know that he was inside a gate that opened just a few hours earlier.
Gates are a phenomenon in which portals of different dimensions open automatically, and everyone near it will get teleported to the dimension. The only way to get out is to kill the boss monster until then the gate will be locked and only opened when no previous one inside survives.

To be honest, I am rather confused right now. This thing can be considered an opportunity, right now I am inside the most mysterious gate of the novel and from my knowledge, not even mc fully knows about it.
This gate was actually a 'D rank' gate with monsters only at the level of 'F rank'. Because of not being able to use anything except your weapon inside this gate was considered to be a survival-type dungeon. People usually come here to practice their arts and manuals because of the great variation of time inside and outside. 1 month here will only amount to 1 minute outside thus making this gate a perfect time chamber for exercise. but the limitations of only one player at a time make it less popular. Even in the original that our MC read, there was no info about it but I know the secret.
This gate will be left open for appx 8 yrs and during that time many will attempt it but no one will be able to conquer it. And if I remember correctly then this was the place where light and shadow dragon art resides which later got discovered by the second mc of our original plot when he was under the influence of the devils. He destroyed the light dragon art and gave the shadow one to them thus closing it in the process.
' Isn't the "original novel" and the "mc read novel" confusing
Let's name the version in which MC from my novel goes into the novel be "original", the version in which I currently am or the one I read to be "original 2.0" '.
Putting these confusing things aside, I decided to search for the art or the return stone after all these are my only way to go back outside. Walking toward the way that seems to be the correct path many thoughts started to appear. Today was the date 7 February 5020, and appx after a month later storyline and my academy starts. Even though I am stuck inside the gate I don't have to worry about not being able to reach the academy before first class after all the time inside the gate varies largely by the time outside. A month here may only be a minute outside so this is the best training time for me.
The major problem that concerns me is that I don't know how to use my weapon. After all-knowing how to do it just by memory is widely different than doing it by yourself. The weapon that the previous user used was a dagger and from the manual being at the 'competent level' and the calluses in my fingers clearly show how much hard work he put into it.

In a dimly lighted cave, you can see a boy drenched in sweat practicing with his daggers. A while later he stopped and sat down on a rock nearby.
To be honest I am quite shocked that I didn't receive any injury even though I was covered in blood. I also completed or should I say revised all my moves even though the manual is only 2 stars but still it is a good one.
During practice, many doubts regarding my existence were raised in my mind from the memories. It was clear that I got selected for the hexagon Academy and on top of that my rank is above 100.
Even though it does not look like much, it is a really big thing after all hexagon academy stands at the top of all other academies, even above the elves and dwarf academies.
But from my knowledge of the novel, every year 1000 students get admission but there were only 999 students in the year 5020 or should I say during our MC's timeline and now it was once again 1000.
This only shows two reasons behind it; one is that the 'original' die here or I am specially added to the story; the first one seems more possible.
Putting these aside, the interesting fact is that I have two stigmas. The stigma is special abilities that the human race has; this is the only thing that makes humans equal to other fractions. In the novel, it was described that barely 1℅ of the humans was able to awaken it. One person can only have one stigma because it's connected to the soul of oneself and seeing me having two clearly shows that I got transmigrated and mine and Kalki's Souls got merged thus me getting two stigmas.
The stigma of the previous one was understanding which when used helps me to understand things easily even though it sounds dumb but it's fascinating. I can even understand things easily that I am reading for the first time in my life in just seconds. All in all, it's a pretty dope ability but the downside is that I can only use it for around 30 minutes. After all, my mind stat is too low right now.
Similarly, another stigma has the same downside but in this case, it is very high. I can only use it for around 10 min max right now if I force myself then my brain will surely get a short circuit. My other ability granted me a personal dimension where I can easily go and come back. I can send only some part of my body there and by doing so it appears as if my body is passing through the object. I can even use it like inventory but the restriction is only that I have to touch them to teleport. In conclusion, this ability is broken if I was able to get full control and a large time limit on it then I can surely survive anywhere.
" he…he….he…..he….he…"
A malicious laugh can be heard throughout the dungeon.

5 days have already passed since I got here and I am already regretting it. I am glad that the previous Kalki used to carry food pills because For the past few days, I had only eaten nutrient pills and only a few weeks more supplies were left for me. After that, it's going to be very tough to continue forward. Night bats ( grade F) monsters continued to attack from time to time hence I barely slept for 2 hrs in the past few days and it looks like my mental fatigue was already catching up to me.
A boy was fighting against a group of night bats. His body was reflexively attacking and his deadpan eyes told the reason for his body being in a ragtag state. Two energies in the shape of big lizards seem to be watching the boy for quite some time. The black-colored energy speaks to the white one -
" What do you think about that boy?
Do you think he will be able to persist till the end?"
"Well, it's already his third week here. At first, I thought he would not be able to survive but the incident that happened two weeks ago sure changed him. Maybe he will be able to find it !"
"Well looking at his body condition I don't think so !"
"Mhmm… let's see how it turns out "

It has already been a month since I came here and finally, I found something which confirmed my doubt that this dungeon is the inheritance dungeon. Looking at the wall in front of me containing a design of five beautiful stocks of crimson red color that interfere with each other, I know this is the return stone. Return stone is an 'A grade' item and it helps in teleporting out of locked dungeons and some gates. But the one in front of me was only this gate's special return stone and from the looks of it, it does not look portable meaning either I should get out here or continue my search.
I already knew why this gate was special so going out of there was not an option even though it was already close to a month but still losing this golden opportunity was just too much. There were many factors that I was still not sure about like
' maybe this was the "original world" not "original 2.0" ' ;
' Maybe someone will get regressed in this timeline? ' ;
' Maybe me being alive in the story will create a butterfly effect and when the next time I come here those things shall not be here anymore '.
Being a reader who read a shitton of web novels I was pretty much sure that somewhere along the line the novel will surely diverge from its path but I don't want that to be this early. Especially knowing that my months here count only just minutes outside, there is very little chance of me being discovered. Well it is not like a C or above level mana gate gets opened and it's also not like it opened in a public place so this gate will surely get ignored by the authorities for some hours.
Making up my mind I ignored the wall and started walking once more.
