Chapter 5: Upgrades
(next day)
I woke up early in the morning and quickly took care of my morning task. After lunch, I go back to the training gym.
After coming back from the gate I didn't practice for a single second. Even though there were many things I wanted to try like my stigma, arts, skills, and other things, I refrained because my body was begging for rest.
The training gym was big enough for 2-3 people to use at a single time and looking at all the mana crystal flooring it's looking like it cost a lot of time and money.
Mana crystals are the solidification of mana in the form of rocks. It usually takes a long time with a high concentration of mana to form. Thus it is usually found in dungeons and gates.
I sat in the middle of the room and used my sense skill. It was truly exceptional as it was described in the novel.
After using the skill I can feel the presence of anything around the radius of 1km even with my eyes closed. I know which building and where people are present. It gives me a rough diagram of humans, animals, and buildings around me.
Due to being low on mana, it can only access a limited area but according to the novel at the highest level mc was able to sense things across the country too.
(2 hours later)
After using this skill for the whole time I got to know that I can't keep it active the whole time. The maximum I can do is 1 hour after that due to insufficient mana it automatically turns off.
It also doesn't sense heroes that have mana 2-3 levels higher than me and lastly, I can also use this skill to find artifacts cause it perceives items with mana differently according to the level.
During my research, I remembered the system msg telling me that this skill can also help me with my Stigma too. Although I also guessed how I can use this skill with my stigma, So I decided to give it a try.
First I used my stigma 'understanding' to get more practical ways of using this skill and it sure does help in creating a bunch of ways. While 'understanding' was being used I felt myself being faster than a supercomputer.
After 5 min later I deactivated my stigma and sat up from the meditation position. I did a little bit of stretching and now it was the time to use theories in the application.
I activated my second stigma 'space-time migration' and simultaneously activated my 'sense' skill.
It was a success, now I was able to pinpoint everything I placed inside my separate dimension just like storage rings. I think of picking something out and with a swirl, in the atmosphere near my hand, that thing came out of my dimension.
Now it was time to put the second theory into action. I once again created a swirl and with that teleported my whole body inside my dimension. It was my first time coming here, as far as I could see everything was white it was more like a massive white room. Activating my skill 'sense' I confirmed the presence of mana in my surroundings.
At first, while using the skill I only applied it in surrounding thus it only sensed the dimension but after multiple failures, I was finally able to expand my sense to the outside world.

My eyes were glued to the notification because something exceptional transpired right before my eyes. 'Skill upgrade' was one of the toughest and most mysterious things in the entire novel. Some skills required exceptional mastery, some required more than one skill merging to get a skill upgrade and others required unknown conditions or a stroke of heavy luck to get a skill upgrade.
The rarity of the skill upgrade can simply be found by the number of people getting their skill upgrade and in the whole good and bad faction. The number of people who possess or are likely to possess upgraded skills are not more than 500.
"'I truly am a lucky person".
If luck was a stat I truly believe that mine was above S. I activated my 'dimensional sense' skill to get to know what it does. After all, I don't have a " description scroll".
After Activating my skills I was easily able to switch my sense between my dimension and outside. The range of my outside sense was around the point where I teleported. Thus, the same area around me outside can be sensed even after teleporting to my dimension.
Now before my time runs out I tried using one more theory. I activated my skill and switched it to outside sense, I pinpoint my destination as my bed and teleported myself.
With an instant swirl, I got teleported right beside my bed. Just as I tried to move I fell on my bed with a thump and my eyes blacked out.

( Next day)
I walked up and with my eyes still half asleep I picked up the table watch. Looking at the time my eyes instantly opened. It was showing 6:30 am. I was out for the whole 12 hrs. It looks. Like I used my stigma too much yesterday nevertheless my mind state being on 'D' rank really pulls my use of stigma down.
I quickly ate up my food and took a quick shower. I wore simple black pants and a white T-shirt on top. Putting my dagger and a month of ration in my dimension, I gave a quick look in the mirror and then walked out of the house.
'Today I have to go and get there earlier than them'.
Thinking that in my mind I moved toward the station.
Most of the good fraction can be covered with the mana train. Mana trains are trains made with the help of metal found in dungeons and run on mana crystal. It was one of the fastest ways of transport with a speed of 420 km/hr, it easily covered a huge distance in a small amount of time.
I go to the receptionist and buy a ticket to 'united city' which costs me 10,000 GP. I got on the train and walked towards the corner window seat. After showing my ticket to the scanner placed on the seat it gets unlocked.
I took my seat and looked outside the window. Even though this world is dangerous, its beauty is really fascinating. At the start of the train, I was immersed in my thoughts.
The city in which my house is situated is 'Bern city' which was named after one of the nine heroes, 'Bern Cassive', situated in the middle of the human nation. It will take only 30 minutes for me to reach 'hexagon' from my nearby mana train station.
But today I am going to 'united city' which is located in the west. It has the third biggest city due to it being the connection point of southern, northern, and western mana trains coming towards the central. So you have to change trains to reach the middle part where 'hexagon academy' is located.
The MC of the novel that I read "Alec" will try to go there to get that artifact before the MC of the novel that he reads "Ryan". "Ryan" being the MC's MC had a cheat type of luck so "alec" will try to take 'that' artifact which according to him results in no major butterfly effect.
But due to his mana train getting dysfunctional in the middle will not be able to reach there in time thus in the process he finds another thing and later goes straight toward the 'deakon forest' to get 'lightning dragon art' or maybe the order is vice versa. well after all I am visiting 1 week earlier than them
My reason for going there is to get that artifact which he got 'in the process'. I have only an interest in those things that Alec did not know about or if they don't do much damage to the main characters. After all, I really don't want to lose my advantage of knowing the future this early.

After reaching the 'united city' the sun had already started to set, but I still decided to finish my business as fast as possible. I paid 50 GP for the taxi and reached the 'unity market'. After 30 minutes of continuously asking for 'that' shop here and there I finally found it.
At the entry of a run-down alley, a small shop with the name ' get 'n' go ' can be seen. The shop has a single-door entry gate and from the look of the shop, you can see that rarely people come here.
A boy opened the door and walked inside. On his right, different items were presented on the table but most of them are not in a good condition, on his left bookshelf and clothing can be seen. An old man was sitting at the counter reading something from his tablet. The boy asked-
"Excuse me, sir, can I take a look at the store"
The old man glimpsed at the boy with an annoyed expression and permitted him.

I started looking at items in the store. First I went to the armory section then to books and finally to the clothing section. Looking at the clothes I picked up a black hoodie, black mask, and white paint and went straight to the counter. with a straight face checked out my things and with a thank you walked out of the store.

Looking at the young boy coming to my shop was not that suspicious. After all, once a week poor children usually come here to buy things and from his clothing, it does not look like he was rich. But strangely enough, he picked 'that mask' with two more things, and his behavior of going to two different sections first and then getting the mask was what made him highly suspicious. Either he knew about that mask or it was a fluke and from my 200 yrs of experience, I know he came here to get that mask.
But I did not have the order to stop anyone from buying that thing anymore so I let him take it.
After taking the mask, I went straight to the skill store and brought two appraisal skills Which cost me around 1.5 million. As I have completed my task here, I went straight to the station and took a ticket to go back home.

I opened my entrance door and walked inside. Today was truly a hectic day for me looking at the clock which showed the time 01:19 am I went straight to the kitchen. After eating ramen for dinner I sat on the couch. First I learned both appraisal skills.

clicking at yes I learned both appraisal skills. Most of the grade E skills are either one-time use or trash skill. But appraisal was an exception in that category. Being one of the most respawning skills in dungeons, still, its demand was very high. It cost me 750,000 for each. 'Appraisal' is a one-time used skill that can be used on any artifact and items. it can also be used by a person on himself but not on other living things.
Using appraisal on the face mask and myself, I spoke status -
