Chapter 13: Shocking News!
There was both shock in their eyes when they heard this surprising news, that the earth boy has survived! Malcom rushed to Lars while grabbing him in the collar with aggression.
Malcom: What do you mean by this, you rat!
Lars looked at Malcom calm and collective, and what he was going to tell Malcom was not only going to make dizzy but also make the Principle Lisa almost pass out.
Lars: He's 100% healthy, no damages, no illness. Nothing, like everything never happened before.
Malcom lets go of Lars weakly and almost staggered, he was sweating, he couldn't believe what he was hearing. He knew what type of character Lars is, he wouldn't lie or even trick him. Even when Lisa is right next to him!
Malcom: How... is… this possible?
Lisa was more in shock than Malcom, she knows the major effects of eating a cursed fruit would do to any species, and worst on a normal human being. Lisa breathed in and out slowly and looked at Lars very carefully.
Lisa: Lars, what is the side effects does that cursed fruit that John ate gives?
Before Lars could even speak, he was interrupted again by Malcom
Malcom: My Lady, why would you even ask those questions to a rat like him? Shouldn't we ask professionals like Doctor Wynn or Scientist Bruce?
Lisa looks at Malcom with scorn and disgust which not only shocked Malcom but made his heart sadden.
Lisa: Don't you know who Lars is? Lars is a genius, not only is he almost the same strength level as me but he is named God of All Medicine. Doctor Wynn? Scientist Bruce? They are nothing compare to Lars! There is a reason why he is the head doctor of this Academy! So, shut up and show him respect, do you hear me, Malcom J. Frost!
Malcom started to pale and turn purple, while his whole body was shaking, he nodded his head and never spoke another word.
Lisa: Sorry Lars, please answer my question.
Lars bows like a gentleman, shining so bright with so much vigor, which made Malcom "tsk".
Lars: To be honest, all 10 Mystical Fruit of Gaia or should I say cursed fruits have different symptoms to them. But the one that was most dangerous out of all fruits was the one that young John ate, Apple of Eden. I'm not sure if you heard about the story of Adam and Eve?
Lisa was shocked about Lars question, so she shock her head to know more.
Lars: Well it's a creation myth, which is forbidden tale, which even the angels will show wrath if they hear us. But its mostly about the first male and female, Adam and Eve. One day, Adam was told by God that he could freely eat fruits on any trees in the Garden of Eden except for one, The Tree of Good and Evil. Of course, both parties were innocent and unembarrassed about anything, until Adam's companion and lover Eve was deceived by a serpent to eat an apple of that tree. From there everything was history, both Adam and Eve was banished and punished for disobeying God.
Lisa: What are you trying to say, Lars?
Lars looks closely with a little bit of hesitation, but finally gave her an answer
Lars: The Apple of Eden is a mixture of Good and Evil, a mixture of Zero and..
*Boooooom*
The whole office was almost blown to smithereens, both Malcom and Lars looked forward with fear, Lisa was full of anger, her whole aura was dark which made the both of them shiver.
Lisa: Lars…. Next time mention Zero as the First Light King…. Also. DON'T EVER MENTION THE OTHER NAME AGAIN, DO YOU HEAR ME!!!
Menacing Aura was blowing straight to Lars, which made the devil gentleman get down on both knees, full of sweat and despair in his face.
Lars: I'm very sorry, My Lady! I won't ever disobey your orders! Please forgive me once again! I beg of you!
The Aura was gone in a quick second, and Lisa calmed down while breathing in and out again.
Lisa: Be careful next time, Lars. You almost pushed my buttons, you know very well what would happen if you continued, right?
Lars didn't answer, he was still in his knees, begging and pleading for forgiveness. Seeing this, Lisa sighed and told Lars to tell her a short explanation of what's happening with John.
Lars: There might be two reasons why he's okay, his body is compatible with the fruit to the point that it benefits him or he's not human at all but from a superior species. But I think the first one is more believable; John Jenson is compatible with The Apple of Eden.
Malcom was as still as stone and never interrupted Lars, to not anger his madam. While Lisa in the other hand, was in deep thought for a really long time. For her, this phenomenon never happened before, so she is trying to find a solution. For a good while, Lisa opened her mouth and spoke.
Lisa: *sigh* There's nothing to do for now but accept John as a student here.
Malcom paled but Lars didn't, his reaction with Lisa's statement was different. Lars eyes was shining with interest and curiosity. For these couple of months, John always interested Lars ever since he met him, from the time John froze during his first appearance in class to how he aced all of his assignments that was college level questions! John was only 15! Lars smiled brightly with a little bit of evil to them
Lars: I agree with you, My Lady! Let's have John as a student here!
Malcom haven't talked for a while, but he couldn't take it anymore!
Malcom: NOOOOOOO! My Lady, you can't do that, he is not like us!
Both Lisa and Lars looked at the panicked stricken Malcom.
Lisa: Malcom we have no choice, we don't have a way to take away his ability or anything of that sort. Also, its better to have him stay here and keep a close watch of him. We don't know the effects of that fruit will do to John, it might happen tomorrow or never, we don't know but its good to try and test the boy. And keep this as a secret, I don't want to endanger the boy.
Malcom was tearing up and shaking.
Malcom: But….. But!
Lisa: No buts, my order is final. John will be a student here in Light Academy, and he will be part of the Cloud Family!
