Chapter 41: Devil Meeting and Crazy Maid(Rewrite)

After Azrael went on his one-man slaughter of the Utsusemi organization, the world was directly informed of his return through the slaughter. The world had thought he was dead, but he just proved he was far from dead. Now the Devils have both Kurayami and Azrael to deal with.

Grayfia of course informed the High Ups of the Devils of her chance encounter with the son of Baraqiel a new Cadre. That had been shocking enough as every Cadre was a legendary existence of their pantheon. Only the Seraphs, Devil Kings, Azrael, and God stood above them in terms of raw power.

That was also not because Kurayami had been confirmed to not just have Incinerate Anthem, but Canis Lyacon as well. The fact he was to become the next Governor-General showed that Azazel was placing a great deal of support behind him as the next heir.

If it had just been that he would have been a terrifying foe to face, but then Azrael has been confirmed alive. And he had once again joined Grigori which tightened the noose around the Devils to agree to peace.

That was exactly what the Devil Kings and the Lord of the surviving households were speaking of. Once informed Sirzechs had called a meeting to decide what the Devil Faction would come to.

It involved not just the Devil Kings, but all Lords of surviving households including Lord Bael the current head of the Bael Clan. Overall were seated, Sirzechs turned to Grayfia.

"Grayfia, do you mind?"

She nodded as she placed a hand on her head. She projected her meeting with Kurayami from start to finish including their initial clash to the end. When it was over, she began to talk about it.

"When he appeared in Kuoh, he barely restrained in aura which I picked up. If you had to ask me, it is a contradicting feeling. I felt, Holy Energies, but I also felt Death on him. And I don't mean that he has killed a lot which he has, but I mean Death Mana. He is a Death Mage."

That caused a wave of discussion among the Lords. Death Mages were incredibly rare and taboo. Death Magic had numerous uses and all of them were on causing Death. Necromancy, Life Force Destruction, Death Manipulation, and terrifying of all Soul Destruction.

In the current period, Death Mages were almost unheard of with how rare the art was. Simply to use the Death Attribute one needed to have an innate affinity for it and those who used it rarely lived long as their own power if not controlled could turn against them.

Azrael was the most powerful Death Mage before and he had been purposely made by God. Ajuka began to tap at the table he was sitting at.

"Curious that a second Death Mage appeared among the Fallen Angels. We have evidence to show that he truly is the son of Baraqiel so why did he develop Death Magic?"

Serafall squinted her eyes as she had an idea.

"His last name is Himejima yes? I heard that a priestess of Amaterasu defected with Baraqiel. As we know the 5 Principle Clans were sired by the 5 children of Amaterasu. The Himejima clan, in particular, was sired by the Ame-No-Oshihomimi her first born.

He also sired the Japanese Imperial Family or so the old stories."

Lord Bael squinted his eyes.

"What does this have to do with the brat being a Death Mage?"

Serafall rolled her eyes.

"I was getting to that. The clan was sired by the firstborn of Amaterasu, and her mother is Izanami who is the Shinto goddess of Creation. But, when she was giving birth to her final son, Kagutsuchi the incarnation of Fire she was killed in the process making her the Shinto goddess of the Dead.

In his grief and rage, her husband Izanagi killed the infant god with his sword Ame-No-Habari. That was later stolen by 'Him' fused with Canis Lyacon which the Kurayami now posses. You get all that, Lord Bael?"

Lord Bael clenched his fist at the disrespect.

"I understand. In essence, the brat might as well be tied to Death through his ancestor. By being the son of Baraqiel, his Shinto heritage was stimulated making him a Death Mage yes?"

Serafall shrugged.

"Maybe."

Before Lord Bael could get even angrier and make a fool of himself, Sirzechs spoke again.

"Quite an illustrious heritage if I do have to say so. His human side was a descendant of the creator deities of Japan. And worst of all, Amaterasu herself has openly expressed her acceptance of him and his twin."

Lord Sitri spoke up.

"He has a twin?"

Serafall nodded.

"Yes. It was tricky to figure it out, but her name is Akeno Himejima. During the last 5 years Kurayami, his sister, and a few others have been sent all over the world on secret missions. It was hard to get information until recently.

He was sent to America as we believe Azazel was having talks with Hera as he wanted to set up either an alliance or a resource exchange. In the time he was there, our spies observed when Kurayami went to head with Ares.

He managed to match the War god for a time, but just as he and Ares clashed our spies who were watching the battle were knocked out."

Falbium who was barely staying awake had a moment of alertness.

"Azrael."

Serafall nodded.

"On mass, all of them were dealt with. As such he had no idea what happened, but we did get this."

Serafall reached into her pocket and pulled out a small crystal. She tossed it into the air where a projection of Ares and Kurayami's battle was shown. Everyone had their eyes captivated by the brutal exchange, especially the last clash.

But before it ended it blacked out.

"That was all they saw before nothing."

Lord Sitri shook his head to get out of his surprise.

"And that was before he became a Cadre or gained his second Longinous. No wonder Azazel is stepping down as Governor General."

Lord Agares was not so sure.

"Azazel's personality is well known, he hates war not because he hates killing, but because it takes away from his hobbies. He has expressed directly during sit-downs with us that he much rather be in a lab than leading Grigori.

To me, it just seems he is itching to step down."

Lord Bael tapped the table he sat at with impatience.

"And now, he has spoken to want peace. Damn Fallen Angel. The terms are a total cease-fire through a magically binding contract or a marriage alliance. The former would bring peace and would allow us to focus on our internal affairs.

While the latter will be us forming a much closer relationship. A spit on the thought, but it could be a valuable alliance. If the brat becomes a Seraph or dreaded above, this might be a best-case scenario."

Lord Sitri glanced at his daughter before he spoke up.

"We got two maybe three options. The first is a total cease of hostilities bound by magic. A marriage alliance to bring our people together, or a third option I propose. A military alliance."

Sirzechs turned to the man.

"A military alliance?"

Lord Sitri nodded.

"Yes. Simply put, Grigori in recent years has begun to become a big player once again. With Kurayami, they have two Longinous among their assets. Azrael has joined Grigori again and Amaterasu has openly accepted him as her family.

And we know without our Kings or 'Him' our Pantheon isn't all that strong. We make up the Abrahamic Pantheon, all three of us. Heaven, Grigori, and us the Devils. If we simply had a cause to unify us under a single banner even other Pantheons would think twice about attacking us.

Let me be frank, we are hated by the wider Supernatural community. Especially us."

That caused another wave of murmurs as their Evil Pieces made them despised as they stole people from other Pantheons often. Lord Bael disliked the Evil Piece system, but he had to admit it was their biggest asset.

Suddenly, next to him Zekkaram Bael, the first Bael spoke up. He was the single most influential Devil and ruled in the place of the Satans after their deaths. If not for the Satans his word would be law.

"Lord Sitri, I agree with your assessment. As unfortunate as it is, without our great Devil Kings, or God we do not hold the power we once did."

He was struck with the pain of saying that name, but his face did not even twitch.

"Our people still are in recovery from the wars we fought for so long, and while we are better than we were after the Civil War, we are not great. Working alongside Grigori at the minimum would do our people well.

Doing all three will allow us a means of holding weight in this new alliance. We can pick the marriage candidate, we can affect the agreed-upon contract, and with an alliance, we will deter foreign attackers.

As for the next Governor General, I do not doubt in my mind that with such a heritage he won't become another Azrael. A Super Fallen Angel."

Everyone was forced to gaze up at him as that was a rank exclusive to Azrael. Zekkram continued with his words.

"If that comes to pass, it would be in our interest to have him as an ally then a foe. As for the marriage aspect, who do we choose?"

Instantly, any lords with daughters began to offer them up. It was as if they only saw what status a marriage with Kurayami could bring. Several names were thrown around from heirs, to just their relatives.

It was a free for all which Zekkram did not participate in. He sat down and he let them do as they pleased. Serafall kept looking as she tried to keep track of things. She was mortified at this free for as it showed how callus Devils were to their female children.

She thought her Father better than that, but he was still a Lord.

"I have a daughter, Sona Sitri. Pure blood with exceptional talent in Water magic."

"NO!"

Everyone glanced up at her as she did not want Sona to be married off. Her father cleared his voice as he explained.

"Nothing is set in stone and this could be good for her."

"By marrying Sona off?"

Zekkram even smiled.

"Serafall, are you offering yourself? You are pure blood and as one of the current Devil Kings hold political power just as Kurayami does. I agree."

Instantly the Lords began to vote for Serafall as their main candidate. Even her Father gave a nod as he was proud of himself.

"No, I am not agreeing t-

Zekkram stood up and clapped.

"Ok, we all agree that Serafall shall be the main candidate, yes?"

The 32 Lords all gave positive answers. Zekkram even grinned in her direction. Ajuka finally spoke up.

"She is a candidate then? Remember that she is just an option. I have decided to suggest my own neice Latia as well."

Sirzechs smiled.

"I also will suggest my sister Rias. As the Devil King I decree that all of your suggestions will be brought up at the bargaining table."

That was good as Serafall did not have to consider herself too deeply. She sighed as she made up her mind.

"Fine. I will suggest it, I will head over as an ambassador to begin with the talks."

Sirzechs still warned her even then.

"You would be with Azrael, Azazel, and Kurayami. As a devil, they are bred to kill you. Especially Kurayami."

She nodded.

"He said he wants peace so I will believe him."

Sirzechs looked at his head maid and queen piece. She had served him and his beloved wife for many years so he trusted her.

"Grayfia, go with her. Kurayami spoke to you so he may be more open to talk to you."

She bowed and both women walked out. Leviathan had a bitter smile while Grayfia was neutral.

"Lady Leviathan, I am sure you would make a lovely wife."

The Satan looked over and frowned.

"Please don't say that. I bet he would like you just as much. But they all picked me for whatever reason so now I got to at least suggest it. Hope I don't catch his eye."

Grayfia was confused.

"Do you dislike him?"

"Not him, the idea of being forced to marry. I am sure he is a swell guy, just that I like my self atonimy."

"Understandable. Let's see how this goes shall we."

"Let's."

---

Back at Grigori, it had been about a month since Azrael killed the Utsusemi organization and let the world know he was back. At this moment Kurauami was with Tobio in the training field who was trying to fight against Clarrise.

He had agreed to coach with Ares as they agreed on. At his side was Shin who was huge, but not as big as his Balance Breaker state. He was around the size of a Polar Bear, but he was not alone.

Next to him was Walburga whom Azrael had essentially given to him. He did not know how to feel about owning her, but she was cute and feisty so he let her do as she pleased for the most part.

She stayed in her gothic lolita dress, but it was modified to look like a maid outfit. She had been taught how to be a maid while she was left to Kurayami. He reminded him of a Hyena as she had to get to sit still.

Shin was annoyed with her as she would pester him by sneaking up on him. Just yesterday she did that and almost got her hand bitten off, but it was not enough to stop her.

Walburga had her arms crossed as she stood next to Kurayami and Shin.

"He is going to die."

Kurayami did not think so.

"Tobio is not that weak you know. He has his own tricks. You also did not call me Master again as I told you to.:"

She turned around and was about to kick him in the shin, but he locked her in place with a burst of his intent. He expected to frighten her, but it had the opposite effect. She got red in the face and began to pant and gyrate her hips.

'Damn.'

She was not just a sadist, but a masochist and he had just found that out.

"You know Walburga, I am starting to like."

"Really? In what way."

She stuck her tongue out for him, but he just gave her a firm head pat.

"Your crazy and crazy is fun."

She nodded with a bright red face. She stayed next to him and decided to listen for now. If she was a good good maid to Kurayami she would have a good life. Full of excitement and she lived for excitement.

"Yes, Master."

He liked the sound of that and he knew he was going to be punishing this maid of his. She was a year younger than him at 14, but she was already turning into a beautiful young woman.

He focused back on Tobio who needed his direction.

"TOBIO! Your mana reinforcement is unsteady, and your footwork is off. Your Light Magic control is sloppy. Fix it."

"YES, SIR!"

On the fly, he steadied his reinforcement and began to move differently as he used his scythe. Despite no longer having Canis Lykaon, the power of the Sacred Gear had saturated his soul which he had been drawing on.

It was why he was not dead after going against Clarise who was the second strongest Demigodd. Every time she moved she shattered the ground with each of her steps. She trusted her spear at his heart, but he dodged to the side and swung his scythe at her.

She raised her spear and blocked with the shaft of her spear. She gave an extended kick at his chest and he felt the air in his lungs forced out. He was launched back and felt that she ended up breaking his ribs.

Ares raised his hand to stop the fight as Tobio was still rather weak.

"Boy, just as Kurayami said your use of the scythe is sloppy. A scythe is a hard weapon to use, as it requires quick-paced footwork. Work on it."

Tobio's talent with the scythe was his highest however it left him wide open. Raynare saw his fight and her next words made him sigh.

"You are letting yourself move with the weight of the scythe which is wrong. Control it and direct it. Do that and you see better results. At the moment you are as bad at scythe-wielding as Kurayami is at smiling."

He snorted.

"I am working on it."

Walburga shook her head.

"Master's smile is fine."

Raynare scoffed at her.

"You don't get a say as you are just crazy. And Kurayami, your smile has greatly improved since I met so keep up the good work."

"I will. Now then."

He looked at Walburga as she was rather easy to control for him. She was a very talented witch as she could learn spells nearly on the fly. She began to talk with Akeno and Lavinia who were fellow mages.

Azazel was thinking of making a good staff if she proved trustworthy. So far, Kurayami had her under control which he knew would slip if he was too soft on her. Shin who was sitting next to Kuraymi snorted at Walburga. He did not like her as she bothered him.

Tobio went to drink water as he was exhausted. Baraqiel looked at Clarise and complimented her.

"Well done. Your mental fortitude has improved and you are no longer as rash. You did not even use the power from your father."

Clarise smiled with pride.

"Thank you, sir."

Annabeth finished her water and looked over.

"Translation. He means you are no longer, so much of an ass."

Ares broke out laughing.

"Runs in the family. Came straight from Zeus."

Clarise scoffed as she still argued with Annabeth as they both were keeping up with each other. As they talked a son of Hephestus walked over.

"Sir Baraiqiel, I have a request."

He looked over to the young man. He was 17, tall, and African American.

"What is it, Terrence?"

He got the courage and asked.

"Sir, may I see your sword."

Baraiqle drew his sword and handed it to the demigod. He dragged his finger across the blade.

"Flawless. How was it forged? What flames? Even the tempering is beyond excellent."

Baraqiel felt it was better for Terrence to join Azazel's weapon smiths.

"The flames were Cursed and Holy flames from my son and his lover. You already met Kurayami and Raynare. Their flames are perfect for forging which we use to make equipment."

Terrence now was curious about who did the forging.

"They provided the fire, but who did the forging?"

From the hall rang out Azazel's voice.

"That would be me."

Azazel walked up to Terrence and shook the young man's hand.

"Would you be interested in becoming one of our forgers? Swords and weapons of good make are rare and so far there are only a few who can forge great weapons like Baraqiels, Kurayami's Rebellion, Submission Raynare's Asmodai, Akeno's Castellen, and Esdeath's rapier."

Terrence nodded.

"I hold weapons in high regard and it would be my honor."

Azazel grinned as he felt he found a good apprentice.

"You know, that will be one of your duties, but join me in my sacred gear search. I feel your power as the son of Hephestus will do us good in our research."

Terrance learned about sacred gears and like many demigods felt it was unfair they had bad chances to have Sacred Gears. He agreed and left with Azazel and he would become Azazel's apprentice.

Azrael had already handed the Night Reflection Cross to Kurayami after he boosted it with some Death Magic. Now Kurayami was boosting it with his own Death Mana and Shadows from Canis Lyacon. With both of them working on it, it was already a powerful artifact.

He looked at Walburga and motioned for her to follow him. He could not let her out of his sight for now as she was still new. She was not trustworthy as only his power was keeping her in check.

He went to check up on Sae as Tobio had left after drinking water.r Most of the students had been treated and many left after having been mindwiped. Samejima stayed behind as his best friend had been treated and had his memories of the event wiped.

Sae, Tobio's love interest was still unconscious as Leo was much more attached to her and would be lethal to remove. However, they had to recover her mind while keeping Leo stable.

"Walburga, make a contract with me and become my contracted mage."

She agreed on the spot as he was now her master.

"Alright, master."

When the pact was done she felt him hold total dominion over her. It was such a turn-on to have him control her. Just that much made her red-faced and a little turned on.

"Now you are mine. Be good now or I will punish you in a way you will dread."

Walburga got excited.

"How will you punish me if I am bad?"

"By making sure you can never feel pain again. I will remove pain from you and treat you like a child."

"NO! Not that."

He snorted as he took her into his arms. She was short as well, but not as short as Kuroka. 5'6 which was ok for a girl. As for him after becoming a Seraph he had started to grow again as now he was 6'6. He had grown 3 inches in a month which was uncomfortable but welcome.

As for Walburga, he leaned down and gave her neck a little bite. She needed a firm hand. Not only that he loved her reactions, the way she shivered and moaned. He loved it, and it was a way to control her as she was unhinged.

"Good girl."

She nodded as she looked up at her master. She was no longer minding being given to him as a maid. With that, he took her with him to look for Tobio. While he was with her, Tobio was with Sae in her hospital bed.

Tobio sat in a chair by her bed where a small black lion the size of a boxer was on the bed keeping watch over Sae. It was entirely black from head to toe minus its yellow eyes. It looked at Tobio and ignored him as he was no threat to Sae.

Tobio took Sea's hand and sighed.

"My cousin kept his word. Azazel said that treating you would be harder than the rest. My cousin too my Sacred Gear, but it was for the best. Turns out my grandma made him hate me by sealing him away. He was planning on killing me so thank my cousin I am alive."

He kept talking to her while Leo looked at Tobio with an interested gaze. The lion was called a coward, but he was never a coward. At that moment Kurayami and Walburga walked into the room.

When Walburga saw Sae she had the urge to cut her face off. Her looking so weak, and so defenseless made her want to do it, but Kurayami did not allow it. She would get her chance to torture people just not her.

"Walburga, you know the rules."

"Yes master, only cut people you say."

"Good girl."

Tobio shook his head as Kurayami seemed to draw a woman to his side. Now he had a crazy maid following him around. He worried sometimes around her as she was crazy. Leo ran to Kurayami and jumped in his arms. He stroked the lion's mane and looked at Tobio.

"You know that Sae might want a normal life. That means away from you."

Walburga nodded.

"You suck and will drag her down."

Kurayami nudged her with his leg.

"That's my cousin you are talking to."

"My bad."

Tobio smiled.

"That would be her choice."

The little maid shook her head at this boy. Why would girls go for him when her master was stronger? Kurayami put down the lion and brought out a crystal that Azrael found in the attack.

"Tobio, remember your grandmother?"

He nodded.

"Of course. Why?"

In the attack, Azrael found this recording that your grandmother recorded. It seemed she expected you to unlock Canis Lyacon in the future, but she did not know that her actions caused Shin to hate you. Do you want to hear it?"

Tobio sighed.

"Sure. Might give me some closure."

When Tobio took it, his grandmother's voice rang out when it touched his hands. Shin instantly began to snarl at hearing her voice as she had sealed him away.

"The fact that this seal has been undone is unfortunate, but it is apparent that someone is abusing Tobio's power. It seems that supernatural malicious intent has been inflicted upon that child."

Tobio remembered the voice of his dearly beloved grandmother.

"Speaking to those who came into contact with Tobio while possessing evil intentions I have words. I have great compassion for that child and have raised him to be a gentle child. At any rate, that child...from the time of his birth he has possessed his balance breaker."

Tobio closed his eyes as Kurayami had said as much. When he looked at Shin he saw the large dog looking at the crystal with the urge to tear it apart. As if hearing the voice of his grandmother was enough to illicit murderous intent.

'Damn granny, you wronged him.'

"I am informing those who have approached Tobio with evil intentions, that it would be nice if you were to thoroughly taste the god-slaying blade with your own body. Even your souls will be completely cut apart"

However, the next line made him smile.,

"Tobio, I'm sorry. It must be harsh. It must be frightening. I ask that you please forgive me for not previously conveying the truth to you. Nevertheless, Tobio. By now, it's okay, right? By now, there's no need to be afraid anymore. There's no need to cry anymore. Chant. Even if you had forgotten, by now you should have recalled it. Therefore, remember the forbidden chant of the God Slaying sword."

Tobio no longer had that memory as Kurayami had devoured that part of his soul. Kurayami kneeled down and patted Shin on the back.

"Relax Shin, She is gone."

Shin took a deep breath as it was not easy to forgive being made a prisoner for so long. The recording ended there and Tobio realized that his grandmother had not thought things through. Her seal had not put Shin to sleep and had locked him away fully conscious.

A truly cursed fate for a proud creature like Shin.

Tobio stood up walked up to the bear-sized dog and bowed in front of him to apologize

"I am sorry."

Shin looked at him before he barked. Kurayami translated for him.

"He said you are forgiven. He wishes you no ill will, but he will not wish you consolidation for your grandmother's death.

Walburga laughed at him which Kurayami allowed. Tobio felt that was fair.

"Fair."

Shin nodded and walked toward the bed. He rested his paws on he bed as he nudged Sae with his nose. Kurayami walked up to him and stroked his head.

"Nothing we can do bud."

Shin opened his mouth and a small black orb emerged and entered Sea's head. Tobio was surprised at the sight.

"What was that?"

Shin looked at Kurayami as he explained.

"Soul essence."

Soon after, Sae began to wake up and when she opened her eyes she came face to face with Leo in his tiny form. He was adorable so she reached out and stroked his fur. She glanced around the room and then looked into Shin's eyes.

"Your eyes are pretty."

Shin raised his head as she appreciated his dashing good looks. Tobio ran over and took her hand.

"SAE! You awake."

She looked at him and smiled.

"Tobio. Why so down? I am ok."

She raised her hand and touched his face. He broke down crying as Sae dried his tears.

"Don't cry, I am fine."

"That is good and all, but move out of the way."

Behind Tobio was the doctor and Tobio almost had a heart attack.

"When did he get here?"

Kurayami told him.

"Not long."

The doctor approached Sae and used several medical spells to check on her.

"Girl. Can you breathe, feel pain, or any headache? Lethargic."

Sae was overwhelmed but shook her head.

"No, I just feel hungry. Really hungry."

He asked her a series of questions and used some magic to cast a few quick healing spells just in case. Sae was watching magic and felt her entire world turn upside down more than it already was. He walked away and looked at Kurayami.

"She may have some problems long-term, but right now her life is not in danger."

Hearing that made Walburga whine as she hoped for some pain. Kurayami walked out the door followed by her who had a moppy look on her face. Kurayami motioned for Tobio to follow him.

Tobio did as he was told so Kurayamu grabbed him in the crook of his arm.

"Come on Tobio, tell her how you feel. It is easy. Just tell her, Sae, I love you."

He got brought red he struggled to get out of Kurayami's hold.

"I told you, it's not like that."

"Really? Because her emotions said differently."

"They did?"

He nodded.

"She loves you, dude. Go to her."

He let go of his cousin and began to leave.

"Good luck. Walburga, come on."

"Comming."

It was time for Akeno to get her sacred gear. He had gotten it as strong as he could for her. The rest all counted on her and Azazel's knowledge.
