Chapter 28: Soul drainer cliff

Almost setting the forest ablaze with his thundering speed fueled by anger and withstood lies, Timothy's feet penetrated the forest as he made for a direction that wasn't before usual.

He knows where to go, has spent a lot of time on that place even but not recently. No no, until about 2 years ago he visited that place more than enough.

He did, until his parents insisted that it was a bad idea to go so far from home, not to mention the danger that lurked on the way there and around the final destination as well.

Soul drainer cliff! Yes, that's where he wants to go now as his claws painted few inches deep footprints over dirt and occasionally clawed chips through rocks.

But what's to stop him from going there now? The people he knew as parents for the past 17 years, have turned out to be big liars.

Which side's demands will he follow? People he knew as parents for the past 17 years or people he met for the first time in 17 years who also claim to be his parents?

No no, there was nothing stopping the young werewolf from visiting soul drainer cliff today.

...

About 30 minutes later, Tim finally arrived to his planned destination, the same one of which he had craved for a long while now, months come to think of it.

A cliff, a marvelous cliff.

It's not usual to find these natural generations in a forest but there are certain aspects aiding its existence.

First and foremost, there is a deep hole right in the middle of the forest. Now this isn't the part that was naturally generated but we can't ignore this characteristic.

Here it seemed like something dug a hole, a long time ago and now it just remained here portraying a cliff.

Its existence itself was a baffling mystery but at this point, it aids Tim's needs and plan.

The characteristic that portrays a natural cliff however, is the pointy rock that stretched about 50 meters wide and 30 or so meters long.

It all shapes up to a triangle like cliff right on the edge of natural structure.

It helps elevate 15 or so meters above the ground, making the hole in front of the tip seem even deeper.

The hole itself had to be somewhere around 50 meters wide, meaning its girth was the same size as the cliff's.

And the hole had to be somewhere around 100 meters deep, so if seen from the top of the cliff, it had to be somewhere around 115 meters deep.

It still remained a mystery regarding why the hole was here to begin with, but people have been using it for one purpose, suicide.

Tim could see bones and whole skeletons even, flash their natural white colour, capturing quite some attention.

There has to be fresher bodies down there as well, the hole gives out a horrible odour which signified such thought.

A ray of thoughts raged through Tim's mind, all of which, self inflicted. "This is a joke, it has to be. Is my life a lie? Yes I'm living a lie. Who's my family? Both sides seem like strangers! Who am I? Am I even Tim or am I Lines? Nothing makes sense, nothing! There is only one way out of this lie I have been living!"

At that moment he heard a being rush through the forest, terrorising the branches and slaughtering bushes.

Tim didn't bother to turn around and look and was right to do so as a familiar tone thundered. "Lines, what are you doing here?"

"Go away." Tim murmured, unwilling to face this man.

"What?" Krino asked, legitimately didn't hear what his brother by blood said.

"Go away!" Tim shouted enough for his brother and anyone in a half mile radius to hear, his tone interjected anger that was fueled by a developing heart ache.

"Come here brother, walk away from that cliff." He encouraged, knowing what could be going through a troubled teenager's mind. "We can talk this out, common we are family."

"You are not my family!" Tim answered, giving a more moderate shout this time, but only because pain aided muffle that possible louder shout.

"I am your family!" Krino finally shouted enough to compete with his brother, fairly losing patience at this point. "I'm your blood either you admit it or not!"

His tone remaining moderate but shifting louder by any end of a sentence, Tim expressed. "Nobody is my family! Not you and not the bastards back home who called me their son for so long! All of you are liars and failures, you failed me!"

And continued his rage by adding. "My existence has no meaning, everything I have been living was a lie! Everything I have been doing was an attempt to fight off this lie! Do you understand how living like that feels like?"

Putting anger a hunch aside for once and ten folding his sympathy, Krino deciphered. "I don't know how it feels like, you know why? Because I have lived for 17 years, torturing myself for not being able to protect you. I thought you were dead Lines!"

At this point unwilling to debate anymore, the young werewolf's rage diminished as he calmly expressed. "I was dead already but now it will be permanent, sweet salvation is close."

And afterwards he shifted towards a human form, fur replacing skin and size replacing itself. The only thing on him were the jeans that were yet to rip off.

At that point Krino had ran just a few more meters closer to reach his suicidal brother.

What aided him however was Tim's resistance to jump and meet whatever bone and rock that lies at the bottom of this pit.

Krino used those few seconds to his disposition, getting a few meters closer.

"Goodbye, stranger." Tim uttered as he finally took a step forward and jumped.

Making the final leap, Krino's left claw met with the edge of the cliff after sliding a foot across it.

And his right one reached for Timothy, thankfully managing to grab the boy right around the stomach.

Pulling him up slowly to avoid ripping the boy's organs out, Krino pulled his brother into a hug and said. "Don't so something stupid like that again! We need you Tim."

"I don't feel so good." His young brother murmured and afterwards he could see a bit of blood dripping down in the ditch.
