Chapter 7: Chapter 07 - The Destroyer
After Joshua left Thor was interrogated by agent Coulson. Nothing much happened and Thor got out with the help of Dr. Erik Selvig.
One day passess and nothing out of the ordinary happened.
Joshua decided to stop spying on Thor for a while. He figured that Thor might need a while to recollect himself and find a reason to live and maybe figure out how to be worthy of his hammer.
It also helps that Thor seems getting closer to Jane and her friends. When push comes to shove Joshua can use the girls to give Thor a chance to be worthy.
Though he will only leave for a day.
By that logic, Joshua decided to resume his search for the doctor.
Searching for a single unimportant person will be hard for a single man like him even with his powers, So Joshua made up his mind and went to SHIELD where he knows people can help him.
Before even reaching the place, He already saw Coulson was waiting for him in front of the border like the agent already knew he was coming.
SHIELD must have placed a proper surveillance system specially for Joshua.
"Hello again, Finally I can introduce myself. I'm Agent Coulson, the person in charge here," Coulson professionally said.
Joshua nodded, "You must know why I am here then."
"Follow me," Coulson said as he left.
Joshua quietly followed.
Coulson led him to a decent size room with a glass table and 2 chairs to the side of the table.
"You want us to help you to search for him right?" Coulson asked.
Joshua nodded.
"That can be done, but in exchange we want you to work for us for the time being," Coulson said.
Joshua frowned, "How long is the time being?"
"You'll work for us at least for a year," Coulson declared.
"Don't get cocky agent, 1 mission, I will join you for one mission and we will call it even," Joshua said.
"You need to understand, finding a man who doesn't want to be found will take a lot of time and resources, we need 3 missions at least," Coulson was hoping this deal will be successful having a man like Joshua will truly help SHIELD in its endeavor.
Joshua is thinking of using violence but his enemies will never end if he always resorts to that.
"I want the option to decline the mission if they are not fit for me," Joshua decided to accept with one condition.
"Done, Welcome to SHIELD," Coulson declared as he offered a handshake to Joshua.
Joshua accepted it. After all the procedures done Joshua was given a phone so Coulson could contact him in a moment's notice.
SHIELD also already handed him his first pay. Coulson said that as long as Joshua has responsibilities to SHIELD he is technically their employee but Joshua knows that they are just buttering him up.
On that very same day, Joshua papers were processed, IDs, credit cards, and such were given to him.
'Okay buttering me up seems to be working,' Joshua thought as he laid on a very soft bed in the hotel room SHIELD kindly booked for him.
He might not need rest or food, but resting is still nice and relaxing for him.

Next Day.
Thor was getting used to his new life. His brother Loki has told him that their father was dead because of the grief caused by his banishment and the impending war from the frost giants.
Loki also feeds him lies that he is now permanently in exile because of this.
Thor understands the situation and accepts it with a bitter heart. After all, Asgard is his home and it's his fault why there's so many problems happening in there at the same time.
With that Loki successfully fooled Thor into thinking that this situation is caused by Thor's arrogance.
Removing Thor in the picture, Odin is currently in odinsleep, and being the only heir in Asgard. Loki successfully became the temporary ruler of Asgard.
Grabbing the almighty spear of Odin which is also called Gungnir, Loki sits upon the throne with content.
But that content is temporary as Lady Sif and the warrior three plan to go to Earth and get Thor.
Loki's hatred can be seen in his eyes when he sees Thor's Lady Sif and the warriors three went to midgard also known to us as planet earth to find Thor.
He also blames his Gatekeeper, Heimdall who lets the four do what they want when he is instructed otherwise.
Loki clenched his fist as he confronted Heimdall with fury.
Heimdall has very powerful abilities. His All seeing and all hearing abilities have served Asgard for a long time and is considered one of the most powerful warriors of Asgard.
Loki called out Heimdall treason, banished him, and then proceeded to freeze the poor gatekeeper and with that Loki immediately sent out the Destroyer to midgard to hunt Thor.
The Destroyer, or The Destroyer Automaton, was an enchanted Asgardian automaton used primarily to guard Odin's Vault, though it could also be used as a weapon against its master's enemies. The Destroyer unquestionably obeyed the ruler of Asgard and wielder of Gungnir, no matter who the ruler may be at any given time.

Joshua woke up because of the loud ringing from his phone.
"W-what is it?" Joshua said with a slightly sleepy voice, This might be his first night sleeping like a baby and his hair is so messy right now, you can put a bird on it and it will be the perfect nest.
"We need a little help, an automaton is now on its way to the city or more accurately to where the blonde man is," Coulson said on the phone.
"Mission one?" Even though he is still sleepy Joshua didn't forget to confirm that this is one of the missions.
Coulson bites his lips and with a sigh agrees that this will count as a mission.
Joshua is happy that he can hit one bird with two stones, wait, that's not right.
Anyway, Joshua humbly exited the lovely hotel and flew up in the sky. Coulson briefs him about the automatons power while he is flying.
In the Air Joshua can see that the Living Armor is half its way to the city, Thor and other humans help in evacuation while Sif and the warrior three wait and brace themselves from the destroyer's arrival.
The destroyer keeps destroying everything around it. Its energy blast coming from its face is causing mayhem. Joshua can see a few body parts around the area but the rest must have already turned to ash or simply evaporated from the destroyer's fiery energy blast.
Sif and the warrior three were having a hard time beating it, Hell, they are even struggling to stay alive.
"What are you doing? Please, Stop him!" Coulson's voice resounds from his phone.
"Aye aye," Joshua said with a monotone voice.
Diving to the ground Joshua uses his shoulder to bash the automaton making it fly throughout the building.
Sif and the warrior three have their mouths agape when the situation quickly turns around. Don't get them wrong it's not their first time seeing a powerful warrior but it's their first time seeing one on Earth.
Thor, Jane, Darcy, and Erik have the same relief reaction as they saw how easy Joshua made the automaton fly.
Jane, Darcy, and Erik quickly recognize Joshua because of his unique hair and the fact that they saw him fly in the hospital really made a core memory in their brain.
But then suddenly a blast of energy shot towards Joshua's direction. Joshua peripheral vision caught it and he immediately flew to avoid it.
Even with his body getting him by those energy blasts will surely hurt, hell they might even incinerate him.
Diving from the sky again Joshua landed on the Destroyer and planted it on the ground. He made sure that the thing would not go up and planted his left foot on its back.
Using all of his strength Joshua stomped on the Destroyer's head but the automaton was still functional so Joshua stomped on it again and again as the automaton turned into scrap of metal.
The battle is very primal, The cracks on the ground is the proof of how much force it takes to destroy the destroyer, heh.
"Mission complete," Joshua said then turned to the group.
"That's awesome!" Darcy cried out.
"Amazing, truly unique," Erik speculated.
Jane just gave Joshua a smile and was glad that she was alive and seeing the extraordinary man in front of her. Jane thought that Maybe if she asks kindly Joshua will let her examine him.
Joshua looked at the happy group and it pissed him off. Nothing changes Thor is still not worthy and the fact that he beat up the destroyer means that he eliminated the Urgency of Thor forcing himself to be worthy.
"Sorry Thor but the time is up," Joshua said as he flew faster than he ever did and stopped in front of Jane.
The gust of wind forced Jane to close her eyes to avoid small debris going to her eyes.
Slowly opening her eyes she saw Joshua standing in front of her, White hair. deep scarlet eyes, and an expressionless expression. It was captivating and at the same time very scary.
Thor, Sif, and the warrior three now understand that the threat is not over.
Just increased its difficulty.
