Chapter 33: Silver Moon Society

When he returned to his home, Alexander didn't hesitate to trade the Judge characteristic for FP.

Recounting his experience in these past hours, he noticed that while he solved a problem, new problems had arisen.

Obviously, while he managed to kill the Judge, that didn't mean that everything had been solved.

First of all, the death of a Sequence 6 Beyonder would surely alert the MI9, even though Alexander was sure that they wouldn't suspect him.

Who would suspect a Sequence 9 Lawyer of killing a Sequence 6 Judge?

Even if he managed to, he should have no motives to kill a member of his own organization, not to mention that he had signed a contract.

The thing that concerned Alexander was the organization behind the Judge.

However, with the current information he had, he couldn't know if the organization wanted to kill him or if it was an independent action of the Judge.

Shaking his head, Alexander pushed these thoughts aside.

The Judge only tried to kill him when he visited Mr. A's gathering, meaning that he shouldn't be a priority target for the organization no matter what.

Even if their member died, they wouldn't be able to trace it back to Alexander through divination etc.

"It will take some time for anyone to pay me a visit even if they really want to kill me.", Alexander thought and opened the Fate Simulator.

[Fate Simulator]

[Sequence: Briber(7) / Duke of Entropy(2){Sealed}]

[FatePoints/FP: 200]

[Cost: 200 FP/Month]

[Simulate]

Focusing on the [Simulate] column, Alexander started another simulation.

[Simulation starting...]

[A month after your awakening, you have managed to become a Sequence 7 Briber, you possess the Quill of Fate, the Distortion token, the Traveler's Ark and the Chaos' Pupil, further improving your power and your survivability.]

[You successfully joined M9 and became part of the Tarot Club, code named Emperor.]

[In the past month or so, you have killed 5 Sequence 6 Beyonders and multiple lower Sequence Beyonders.]

[If anyone learnt about your deeds, they would start to wonder if you were of the Abyss pathway.]

[Something inside you reminds you to follow the clues and try to find the people behind the Faceless and the Judge you previously killed.]

[Three days later, the Tarot Club takes place once again.]

[4 days later, you have managed to find some clues regarding the Faceless.]

[You learn that he is a Beyonder working under Rosago, a Sequence 5 Marionetist]

[You don't want him to find about your existence since you have other things to do and you drop the investigation.]

[Two weeks later, you've already attended the Tarot Club two more times and your investigation regarding the Judge has finally come in fruition.]

[Through clever use of your incarnations and your non-existent fear of death, you have managed to find out that he is part of an organization that calls themselves the Silver Moon Society.]

[Knowing that you won't be able to learn more information, you focus on finding the Baron of Corruption formula.]

[5 days pass and you have yet to find any clues, even after paying a visit to the Nemesis Order]

[Suddenly, you have a feeling that anything other than getting the Baron of Corruption formula is meaningless.]

[That night, you secretly visit the Royal Museum.]

[By using the Quill of Fate, the Distortion token and the Traveler's ark, you manage to get in while remaining undetected.]

[Just as you were about to touch the bookmark, a woman with chestnut colored hair appears in front of you with an angry expression.]

[You've died.]

[Simulation ends...]

Taking a look at the results, Alexander could see that this was a very eventful simulation.

The first thing to note was that he successfully investigated the background of the Faceless and the Judge.

Regarding Rosago, Alexander felt that he was not strong enough to even think about fighting against him.

Not only was Rosago a Sequence 5 Beyonder and a member of the Secret Order, there was also ambassador Bakerland with him.

As long as they learnt about his existence, MI9 would also find out, as they already knew that they were spies and would surely monitor them.

Alexander wasn't ready to become the enemy of both the Loen Kingdom and the Intis Republic yet.

On the other hand, the matter about the Judge was more interestting.

The Silver Moon Society was an organization that had never been mentioned in the original book and Alexander could only guess that it appeared as a butterfly effect of his early transmigration.

At the same time, with such a name, it couldn't be more obvious that they either believed in Lilith, or the Mother Goddess of Depravity.

Of course, Lilith already had her own church, leaving the Mother Goddess of Depravity as the only option.

Alexander felt a headache as he thought about being the enemy of one of the 3 Pillars.

"What happened?"

"Aren't we cool with each other?", Alexander couldn't help but complain.

Thinking about it, it was never mentioned which Outer Deities he made a deal with.

He had only been assuming that his deal extended with every Outer Deity.

"Is the Mother Goddess of Depravity an outlier or do I only have a deal with Mother Tree of Desire?", Alexander coudln't help but thinking.
