Chapter 165: The difference a day makes
Despite having quite a few events happening recently, the excursion into the Calanthian was still in its early stages. It was only the morning of the second day, and yet for the group hiking through the forest it had already started to feel like so much had already happened. Outside the forest however, things were only just starting to ramp up.
Sabrina had continued to watch over all points of interest with an unwavering divinatory eye, and Avery had continued to relay occasional information when necessary but, still, with only a little over a day having passed, it made sense that little had noticeably changed in their absence.

AngelAsphodel It was a shorter chapter but I also wrote it suuuuper quickly which was nice compared to the trouble I had last chapter. I originally didn't even plan to focus on the main group this chapter, but in the end I decided that I want to give some more info before doing what I actually wanted. What did I originally want? Well, next chapter (and likely more after, we'll see), I plan to show some of the events occurring elsewhere and we'll be looking at some characters that you might not expect!
I don't plan to have a week delay till the next chapter either. I'm thinking that the next few chapters might have this change of focus and will remain on the shorter side, but that will allow me to show multiple perspectives without slowing pacing down too much and also be able to get them out a bit more often (still not dayly or anything, but we'll have to wait and see for the release schedule). Now then, the question is... whose perspective will we see next chapter?
