Chapter 11: Chapter 10

Actaea smiled back at him knowing what she wanted, and that was to spend it with Lysander. As she walked closer to him, he held out the flowers he brought her. She was so happy with him, that she wouldn't let what her sister said make her feel sad. "I couldn't wait until tomorrow but had to come back to see you." He leaned in and kissed her on her cheek.

"Thank you for the flowers. They are beautiful."

"I thought you might like these. I spoke with the head priestess at the temple and she will gladly perform the ceremony in a weeks time."

"I can't wait until next week then." She smiled at him, and took his arm that he offered her. They turned and walked back to her hut. "Everything alright my nymph? You look upset?"

"I'm alright, my sister came to visit me. She wanted to tell me that she may be able to lift my curse." Lysander had a look of shock on his face, as if he couldn't believe what she said. "Is she able to remove the curse that Poseidon placed upon you?"

"She herself cannot remove a curse given by a god or goddess, but we sea nymphs have some powers and magical abilities. Our powers are not like gods and goddesses. My sister claimed she would speak with Poseidon and try to reason with him on removing the curse. I don't think he would though. He is stubborn, and part of him blames me for not able to save Aeolus in time. I'm not just able to see visions but I have powerful skills in healing. I still can see it being played out in my head. My son Aeolus, took the blow from the dagger, so he could protect his son and Maerea from his half brother. I could see the vision playing out in my head and I chill ran down my back, for I knew it would come to pass. I did everything in my power to reach him in time, but I was to later Lysander. Aeolus was already laying in the sand on the beach. There was so much blood in the sand, for the dagger had been pulled out of him, and Maera was kneeling next to him, trying to stop the bleeding by putting presser on the wound, with using part of her gown she torn off.

I knew that I was to late to save him, and in Poseidon's grief he cursed me. Aeolus's half brother Otto had somehow acquired the dagger, so he could destroy him, but Aeolus was able to kill his half brother in self defense while he still had the strength to do it. Poseidon couldn't take his revenge out on Otto, and part of him knew that another god or goddess had help plotted Aeolus's death with Otto. It was just all to much, and when it was all over I exiled myself, left my second home behind and came here, and then I met you Lysander. I didn't think I would be able to have a second chance until i met you." Lysander took her into his arms and held her close. "I am terribly sorry for you loosing your son, and all that you had to endure. I will do everything that I can to make you happy my sea nymph." Actaea held onto him not wanting him to ever let go, and she couldn't help but smile because she was in the first time in a long time happy. She couldn't to start her new life with him.

Then before she knew it, the next week had come, and the two were married, joined by Lysander's family and then the whole village for the celebration. It turned out to be a beautiful day for it. The whole village was decorated with blue and white flower garlands, and everyone pitched in to set up long wooden tables out in the main square, and to help with making the food. The day of the ceremony, Lysander's mother and sister helped her get ready at her own hut, while Lysander got ready in his family's home. Actaea wore a pale blue gown with matching sandals, and she had her hair pinned up, which she made the hair pins made of out of sea green glass. She couldn't wait for Lysander to see her in her gown, and to say those vows to one another.

Actaea, and Lysander's mother and sister helped her finish getting ready and the three of them made their way over to the temple of Aphrodite. Lysander was waiting for her at the head of the alter and beside him was the head priestess who would be performing the wedding for them. She couldn't stop smiling knowing she will be his wife and make a life with him. She made her way to the end of the alter and stood in front of him. "You look so beautiful in that gown, that color suites you." He leaned in and kissed her on her cheek. "And you look so handsome." The head priestess smiled at them both and stood before them.

"Are you both ready to start the ceremony and to

say your vows?"

"Yes." They both said at the exact same time. This was a new beginning for Actaea.
