Chapter 119: Feels Like I’m Cheating

"Are you mad at me?" Tian Zi cooed as he brushed Fyre's hair. Well... Unlike Fyre, the Alpha was actually upset to find out that the Omega was in the same room with another Alpha—Even though they insisted that he was not but he genuinely could tell that the actor is an Alpha and perhaps a recessive one—he would ignore that for now and try to soothe his lover.
"I'm not... but you could have just told me. I was so surprised that I thought I might have fallen in love with someone else at first sight. My heart was beating so fast," Fyre confessed, making Tian Zi frown.
"What in the..? Did you like this face more than mine? Why would you say something like that in front of your fiance?" Tian Zi pouted. Although this was also him, he couldn't help suddenly feeling jealous because Fyre wasn't even like that when they first met each other and now he's telling him he thought he had fallen in love at first sight with the face he's wearing now?! What if someone out there actually had the face he's wearing right now? Would Fyre leave him if ever?
"What!? No! It was because I was thinking of you. I knew it was you but I was terrified because it wasn't your face. If you told me beforehand, I wouldn't have felt that way." Fyre pouted with a frown, which pacified Tian Zi.
"I'm sorry, I thought I would surprise you but I scared you instead..." Tian Zi softly said, brushing his lover's face. They stared at each other's eyes as they slowly drew closer; however before anything could happen, Fyre was quick to recover from the hypnotic gaze and instantly jumped off of the Alpha's lap, blushing. As much as he wanted to do what's on Tian Zi's mind, right now he's at work.
"Ahem, you surprised me alright... I never thought you'd work as an assistant for me... Thank you, Zi." Fyre cleared his throat before he said. Meanwhile, disappointed, Tian Zi pouted again before he stood from the couch. He does understand why Fyre avoided him just now even though he never did at home but he still couldn't help but be upset about it. A brief kiss would have been enough for him.
"Anything for you... but I would have been happy if I received a kiss from the Princess," Tian Zi said, pulling Fyre into his arms again.
"Urg, don't call me that... and certainly no kissing at work! What if people see us..." Fyre whined.
"As you can see, it's just the two of us here."
"B-But... It feels like I'm cheating! I don't like that face!" Fyre whined again and pushed the Alpha's chin away, making Tian Zi dumbfounded as a headache came creeping into his head. He did find a way to be with Fyre but now the Omega doesn't want to be intimate with him because he has a different face.
"Close your eyes and just listen to my voice," Tian Zi suggested after a deep sigh. He didn't think this was going to be a problem at first.
"Hmmm... but I don't want to..." Fyre stubbornly, honestly creeped out that Tian Zi's face was different. It really does feel like he's with someone instead. However, in the end, he complied with the request and slowly closed his eyes, making Tian Zi smile.
"Just listen to my voice," Tian Zi ordered as he touched both of his lover's cheeks, slightly brushing his thumb on the apples, enamored of the Omega's beauty. Until now he couldn't believe he and Fyre would end up like this. He never imagined such an outcome but he's more than pleased that this had happened. He wouldn't even want to imagine an outcome where Fyre was not with him and instead in someone else's arms. He might end up killing someone if that happened.
". . ." Blushing as he waited for anticipation, Fyre kept his eyes close however as if he was seeing Tian Zi—his real face—he couldn't help but have his heart pounding faster than normal.
"You're so pretty," Tian Zi whispered and finally leaned down to kiss his lover's painted lips, making both of them gasp in need. For a moment the kiss was soft and gentle, but it was not long after that it had become rough and eager that it made Fyre's knees turn weak. Thankfully, it didn't last long before they separated as Fyre opened his teary eyes while leaning against the Alpha for support.
"See, it wasn't that bad," Tian Zi happily said, chuckling that Fyre's lipstick had now smudged to the side of his mouth. Honestly, he'd continue if he could, especially seeing his lover's needy gaze but obviously, he couldn't.
"I think you'll need to fix your lipstick," Tian Zi chuckled. Meanwhile, finally waking up from his dazed condition, his eyes widened as he just remembered that Victor and the rest just finished putting his makeup on for his next scene.
"Oh fuck!" Fyre cursed especially when he saw a very light pink smudge on the Alpha's lips as well. His makeup wasn't heavy and it was only natural but it still smudged this much making him panic.
"Ahh~ t-that's why I told you no kissing!" Fyre whined as he desperately wiped Tian Zi's lips before he quickly went to the mirror and rampaged on the lines and lipstick displayed on top of him. Fortunately, he remembered the shade and quickly put it on and later fixed himself.
Hoping that nothing was amiss, he glared at the Alpha as a warning not to do any more stupid ideas before he hastily went to the door and opened it to call everyone in. And just like that, unknown to Fyre, similar scenes were bound to happen in the future. And whether it would bring them problems later or not, only the future could tell.

"CUT!!!"
"Impressive! Let's quickly move to the next scene with the parents this time, the rest you can rest for now..." The director yelled, praising the male lead's acting skills while he watched the preview on the screen in front of him together with the movie producer. It has been a week since they started filming and since then they've been at it at a very ideal pace. Since Russel Coleman, the movie director, is an award winning talent in the field, he is very meticulous when it comes to his work so when he said such praises, it only means Apollo White was indeed a good actor despite having just a couple of years of experience in the industry.
"Fyre, was it okay? Sorry it took so much time, I made a lot of mistakes," running towards Fyre who was currently resting on his chair with his script in his hand, Apollo quickly sat on the available chair next to him.
"Oh no it's okay. You did great. I heard Mr. Coleman rarely approves a shot within 15 takes so you did great," Fyre replied, smiling. However, deep in his head, he was still a little awkward to talk to the actor since it hasn't been awhile since they've met but he's already acting close to him, even asking his opinion about his acting when he's got more experienced than he has.
"Nah, I was just lucky and the scene wasn't too hard. Anyway, how about you? Have you memorized your script? If you're having trouble with it please don't hesitate to call me. I may not be as good as Duke but I have a bit of experience to teach you too," Apollo said nicely, and truth be told that made Fyre smile genuinely this time because he just can't hate a nice guy. Still, if it's just memorizing, he actually doesn't find that very hard. He has a very strong memory and can remember just about anything as long as he reads it a couple of times and understands the subject.
Also, if he had problems, Tian Zi was there to assist him whether as script reading, practice acting, or just coaching his facial expression. And speaking of, the Alpha was actually helping him a while ago when an alarm rang on his phone, and according to him, it was time for his snack. Fyre told him he didn't need it but then he insisted and so now he's gone out to buy one himself.
"Thank you, I will surely let you know if I need any help," Fyre replied, smiling again.
"Okay then, I'll head back for now. I don't want to disturb you any further," Apollo said, but he didn't leave just yet as if waiting for Fyre to say that he wasn't disturbing him but needless to say, Fyre won't actually say that and in the end, just smiled.
"Okay," Fyre said, making Apollo look awkward but he nodded anyway before quickly waving goodbye. Seeing that the actor had finally left, Fyre had gone back to reading while imagining the scenes in his head when finally Tian Zi arrived, however, it seemed like he was out of his mood all of a sudden.
"What's the matter?" Fyre was quick to ask, noticing his lover's pouting lips as he carefully placed the snacks on the small table in front of them.
"..." Tian Zi didn't reply at first as he continued to pout, making Fyre raise an eyebrow.
"What is it?" Fyre asked, feeling a little bit impatient but he remained calm since he now has a reputation he had to protect. Additionally, he's trying not to quickly snap at the Alpha.
"Just... you were smiling at him just now..." Tian Zi mumbled and for the first few seconds, Fyre was unable to reply before he sighed because he kept repeating to the Alpha for the past week that he had to be nice to his co-stars especially to the male lead but Tian Zi just kept being jealous when it was just all acting.
Fyre sighed again in frustration. Although he's somehow relieved that the Alpha was beside him that he didn't feel anxious all throughout the day without him, now Tian Zi's getting jealous of every man and woman getting near to him.
"I already told you I have to be nice to him, Zi," Fyre whined, massaging his temples.
"I know, but I just can't help it," Tian Zi replied pitifully, hoping that the Omega would be swayed as he pretended to be miserable. Truth be told, he does understand Fyre's situation but he just can't stand the man especially when he could feel he genuinely liked Fyre. It's making him frustrated because he couldn't straight up approach the man and tell him to back off from his mate. So instead, he would just focus on his lover so the Omega would feel bad for him.
And lucky for him, Fyre was actually swayed as he looked hesitant, seeing that he was chewing on his lips again.
"Fine, don't be sad. What do you want me to do so you won't end up pouting the whole day?" Fyre asked and in an instant, Tian Zi's expression brightened before it turned depressed again.
"No, it's okay. You wouldn't agree to it anyway," Tian Zi said and this time busied himself with the snacks he bought ready to change the topic. However, hidden from his lover, a very faint and brief smirk flashed on his lips when the Omega suddenly stood up.
"Fine, I know what you want... Follow me," Fyre said and quickly rushed away, not waiting for Tian Zi to reply. Meanwhile, a full on smirk on his lips, Tian Zi looked around first before he stood up from his chair as well and swiftly followed the Omega without anyone noticing.
