Chapter 27: How Did You Know?!

Vera's head continued going in circles as she finished the laundry and once she made it to the shop. Tilly noticed there was something up with her immediately.

"You okay, V?"

She had always told her aunt everything but this was Casey's personal business. She hesitated. Maybe if she didn't give any detail… "I found out something big this morning and I'm not sure whether or not to tell the person that I know."

Tilly's eyebrows nearly shot off her face. She bit her lip before saying anything. "…did you find the notebook?"

Now Vera's eyebrows nearly shot off HER face. "How did you know?!"

"You texted me saying you would come after doing laundry. He always keeps it in his pocket. Not hard to deduce. Are you really okay with it though?"

"Well, it's not like it's his fault…but how long have you known? You never said anything about it!"
