Stella Canning and her brother Jeremy Canning along with their parents came to Mystic Falls, due to their father's transferable job.

As because the family were newly shifted to the town, they had to face a lot of problems especially Stella and her brother. They both were admitted to Mystic Fall's famous University named "Convington University".

Many Students became Stella's friend.She and her family was completely unknown with the fact that the town was surrounded by vampires, werewolves and witches.

Soon she came to know the Salvatore brothers....Damon Salvatore and Stefan Salvatore.
The Salvatore's family were one of the oldest vampires in the town.
