Chapter 5: The Butterfly in my tummy
Night came and Mar prepares roasted meat for him and Ren to eat.
Ren thought that the meal is delicious. And staying in the orphanage for a long time, they rarely eat meat as the cost is too high and the orphanage has no budget to feed a lot of kids. They usually eat bread and vegetable soup most of the time.
"This is delicious Mar, thank you for the food. I am stuffed now. Let me clean this up."
Mar thinks that Ren is such a nice female. She even said she will clean up the dishes. "No, I will do it. You can just stay there and rest." Picks up the dishes and brought it outside to clean.
She feels happy being served delicious food and not doing the dishes for the first time in her life.
The dishes are cleaned. Mar went inside the hut and place the dishes in the table. He looks at Ren looking outside the window. He really thinks she is so beautiful and she smells so nice.
Then Ren looked at Mar. They both stared at each other for a moment, then both got shy and looks away.
Ren realized that Mar is a good looking man. He is so handsome that she has never seen a guy like him in her entire life. There are some scars on his body and even on his shoulders, but those actually look good on him.
"If you feel tired you may sleep on the bed." Mar offered.
"No, it's fine. You can sleep on the bed and I will just sleep on the floor somewhere." There is only one bed in the hut, and she feels shy to be the one to use the bed instead of Mar.
"You may use it. I am a male and sleeping on the floor is fine with me. I don't like you to have a back problem tomorrow when you wake up." Smiling sweetly.
She thought Mar really is a gentleman and didn't argue.
"Tomorrow if you are going outside, can you bring me with you? I kind of like to familiarize myself in this place, if you don't mind."
"I am hunting for some food tomorrow. It might be dangerous if I bring you with me." Then the thoughts of leaving Ren alone in the hut. The other guys in the village might go and talk to her when they see him leaving. "No problem. I will bring you with me tomorrow."
"Oh really? Thank you Mar. You are being so nice to me." She got up and kiss Mar on the cheek. Realizing how awkward that might be, she jumps back on the bed and turn the other way around. "Goodnight Mar and thank you."
Mar feels like a butterfly is playing on his stomach. He feels so happy and shocked. All face turns red and hot. He didn't even realized that he is smiling from ear to ear.
"What is this feeling? My body feels so light and my stomach feels funny. Is this how they feel having a mate? I've never felt like this before." Murmuring to his self. He wants to fly, that's how he feels.
