A weeping silence passed through the entire room. Thick layer of air stiffened after the physician had spoken about Isabella's current condition. It wasn't totally unexpected in reality. Isabella had already a complicated pregnancy during the entire time. Even falling pregnant for once was difficult for her health.

The physicians didn't break their eye contact from Silas who had a complicated expression hanging on his face. It was too surreal to find his such pathetic moment. Silas was a man of words, avoided making contact with women simply because he found them annoying and a bucket of overacting. But here, he was sitting by a woman's side who was fighting for her survival and had even endured her low pathetic cries occasionally. Not only that, he was obsessed with cleaning but he actually placed her over his bed.
