Chapter 9: On My Way
Antonella rushed her footsteps to her mother's den and was welcomed with loads of books containing every different genres written by authors around the world. She saw Aling Carmen on the scene like what Lyndon described and approached her.
"Aling Carmen can I help? this seems too heavy for you" the girl insisted while holding Aling Carmen's hands
"Thank you My Lady but don't worry I can manage" the nanny smiled
"Aling Carmen pretty please I want to help" she pleaded and pleaded until Carmen approved
The volumes were so thick that it would take many days to accomplish just one chapter but for Antonella found it to be a simple chore because she adores reading so much. Reading helped Antonella become more resilient, served as one of her main sources of inspiration, and provided her with stability.
"My Lady are you alright? you can tell me if you're already tired" the nanny spoke with a worried tone
"Easy Peasy!" the girl exclaimed
A couple of hours had passed and their work is already finished Antonella and Carmen felt exhausted. They went to the kitchen to pour some cold water and cool their beings. After that Antonella sat on the stool and relaxed herself until her mother arrived.
"Mother! Mother!" she shouted on the top of her lungs and then hug her mother
"Hello Sweetie how are you? I heard from your father that you will go outside with someone tomorrow" Salome replied while caressing her daughter's cheeks
"It is indeed true mother you'll allow me to go don't you?" Antonella looked up to the young woman and pleaded with her cute eyes
Salome cannot resist her daughter's request and permitted the girl to go.
"But sweetie don't forget to contact me, understood?"
The girl responded with a joyful tone and gave her mother a kiss.
"Thank you Mother" Antonella smiled
Salome's heart was shattered for a very long time as she watched her daughter suffer at school due to the bullies' actions. All you ever wanted as a mother was for your children to live happily and peacefully. And witnessing your own child cry may truly break a mother's heart. Salome is unable to contain Antonella's anger and despair at that point. The girl avoided having many guests and locked herself up most of the time. She once found her daughter taking too many pills, but thankfully she stopped it.
Numerous things occurred in this home yet Salome never gave up trying to give Antonella everything. Even if it means risking her life, she will do anything for her child. Her greatest joy was to see her children's beautiful smiles.
"My pleasure sweetie, go rest now it's already late" she kiss Antonella on it's forehead and hugged her back tightly
"Goodnight Mother you should rest too"
And with that Antonella went upstairs and clean up herself for bed. While changing into her night gown she checked her back on the mirror and the markings is still there. The markings were tainted bloody red and it did not give her pain anymore. She shook her head and completely wear her clothes. Before sleeping she messaged Gail pertaining about the meet up.

"I wonder if Gail is still awake maybe she is on a deep slumber now, I should sleep too" Antonella said to herself and closed her eyes
On the other side...
Gail's phone beep in a loud tone that made her jolted on her sleep. She open her phone with her eyes still closed.
"Who message me this late? gosh I'm dreaming about my ideal type and my phone beeps" she said
Gail open her eyes and saw Antonella's message
"Oh it's Antonella HAHA silly me, I should text back"
-Goodnight Antonella! Sweet Dreams-
"I think this is enough" Gail press the button and went to her bathroom to wash her face
"I look awful I cannot go back to sleep with this state and my exhaustion is gone maybe I should play some games to pass time"
Gail was about to head to her pc when her door opened. And loud sarcastic voice was heard.
"Why are you still up Guilia? its past bedtime, what are you waiting for morning? or should I say your chatting with your boyfriend"
The poor little girl turn her head on the sophisticated woman with such a scary look and long black curly hair then gulped "No Mom I'm just checking for my Math books because it's back to school soon I need to do an advance study"
The woman seemed convince to Gail's reason and spoke "Make sure that you are indeed focus on your studies Guilia or else your Father will throw tantrums again"
Gail lower her head and replied "Understood Mom"
"And also study all of your subjects not just Mathematics it won't do you any good if you only focus on one" the woman said
Gail just nodded
"Go sleep for now I heard that you're meeting our business partner's daughter don't mess it up Guilia or you will ruin our reputation make yourself useful"
After those sentences the woman slammed the door and left.
Gail let out a painful sobs that she's been holding back and hurt herself couple of times "I hate Mom! I hate Dad! All of them! It hurts so much"
The girl weep for tons of hours and fell asleep.
Back to Antonella...
Ring! Ring1 Ring! Ring! Antonella's alarm clock rang and rang but the girl seem to be a heavy sleeper. Footsteps were heard on Antonella's room directing on her bed. And tapped the girl's back.
"Sweetie wake up" a soothing voice said
Antonella just shrug and hide her face on the sheets. The voice spoke again in a serious manner.
"Sweetie its already 10 Gail is waiting for you don't you remember?"
With that Antonella open her eyes and run to the bathroom avoiding the person who woken her up, after a minute of preparing finally the girl is done. Antonella wore a wide legged pants and white top, tying her long hair into a ponytail. She wore her shoes and was about to leave the room when the voice spoke again.
"Are you just gonna leave my dear without bidding me a goodbye"
"Mother! you scared me Haha I did not see you were you sitting on my bed this whole time?" Antonella asked
"Yes and I'm the one who woke you up sweetie please practice waking up early, It's already back to school" Salome protested
"Indeed Mother I deeply apologize" Antonella run to her mother and kissed it's cheeks then wave goodbye
"See you sweetie be careful"
"Yes Mother Goodbye" Antonella shouted upon going downstairs
