Chapter 2: Promises are meant to be kept...
I came home late in the evening.I don't want my parents to see me upset...not today...never because it makes them upset too. I silently came into my room,locked the door behind me and slipped into the blanket. Unable to sleep , thinking of possible causes for this unexpected tragedy...I was sitting on my bed wrapped in the blanket sobbing in the mid night, cautious enough not to disturb anyone in the peaceful night. I remembered the day I met her first time. It was the time of morning assembly and I missed it because I was late as usual so was she on the very first day of her school.
"Is this 11th C?" she whispered
"Yes . There is a board outside which tells this room is meant to be 11th C" with a slight hint of sarcasm in my voice,l replied. From her facial expressions it was clear that she doesn't liked the joke.
The nervous smile had been disappeared from her cute face . I immediately said sorry.
She replied " Its okay...nothing much to be worried"
She came to me .I was looking downwards when she stretched her hand to me and said "Aakrati singh"
I immediately grabbed her hand ,her soft skin felt like a cold moisturizer on my skin. I loved that touch.
"Sahil chauhan" I whispered...
Her face was pretty , nose was neither too short nor long but sharp pointed.
Perfect eyes with perfectly curved eyebrows.Her hairs were a bit curly...blessing her with breathtaking beauty.
The feature I most admired was her deep dimples only adding some more beauty making her an absolute goddess from heaven. First time I checked out a girl like this but this feeling was different...it was a feeling of possession..It was 1st of April beginning of new session. Deep down in my heart I decided that this new session would see a new story...a story different from others...
A sudden sound broke my chain of thoughts. It was a cat. That night I made two promises to myself...
1.If there is god, she will return to me in next three years...if not...it's over...
2.I will not cry from now on...never...not for her....not for anyone...
...And promises are meant to be kept.
