Chapter 70: Path to Forever

"Are we not going to invite everyone?" Sabrina asked her mom as they boarded her car.

"Tonight is a mother and daughter date okay?" she said, Amanda brought out an eye mask and handed it to Sabrina, "Wear this," she said.

Sabrina looked at her confusedly, "What for?" she asked.

"Just wear it honey. You'll know why later," Amanda smiled at her playfully.

Hesitant, Sabrina didn't ask any more questions and just wore the mask, "I'm having a bad feeling about this Mom," she said.

Amanda just chuckled. She started the car engine and drove off to The Huntington Botanical Gardens.

"They're on the way!" Javier said when he received the text from Amanda.

"Is everything set?" Alexander asked Kenzie and Grey.

"Yes boss!" Kenzie responded with a salute.

"Okay let's get to our places now, she'll be here in 10 minutes," Alexander instructed them.

Before everything else, Javier approached Alexander once again, "Nail it son," he smiled. Javier left and went to the spot where he should.

Alexander, nervous, rubbed his palms together and breathed in.

This is it.

"Mom, can you please give me a clue?" Sabrina asked, "Just one please?" she pleaded.

"Where's the element of surprise if I give you a clue?" Amanda said.

"Ugh fine!" Sabrina crossed her arms in defeat.

After a few minutes, Amanda and Sabrina finally arrived at Huntington. Amanda assisted Sabrina as she goes out of the car.

Amanda held Sabrina's hand and wrapped her other arm on her waist, "Step up your right foot," Amanda said, "Now your left foot," she added.

Arriving at the spot where Sabrina was supposed to stand, "We're here," Amanda said, "I want you to count from 1 to 10 before you remove your mask okay?" she instructed Sabrina.

"Where are you going Mom?" Sabrina immediately asked when she felt that her mom had let her go already.

Amanda didn't bother to answer Sabrina's question and instead, placed a kiss on her cheek, "I wish you all the happiness in this world," she said, "Don't forget to count 10 before you remove the mask okay?" she reminded her before she exited.

"Mom?" Sabrina moved her hands around, searching for her Mom, but she wasn't there anymore.

Sabrina sighed, "Count to 10 it is then," she said then started to count.

"Ten," Sabrina whispered. She held the eye mask she was wearing and removed it from her head slowly.

As soon as she removed the eye mask, she covered her mouth due to surprise. Her eyes instantly twinkled in astonishment as she looked around the fairy-tale like place that she was currently in.

The dark night was beautifully lighted by warm white colored lanterns and fairy lights that were hanged on trees. In front of her was a path made of candles and rose petals were scattered on the ground, giving the place a very pleasant smell.

It was all romantic.

Looking around, Sabrina noticed an envelope near her foot. She bowed to pick it up and opened it. Sabrina pulled the card and read what's written on it.

'The way to FOREVER is this way Ma'am <3'

Right after she read the card, lights formed in the shape of arrows lighted in the middle of the path.

Sabrina smiled.

Although she didn't know what was waiting for her on the other side of this way, she still took a step forward and walked the path of forever.

"She's coming!" Kenzie signaled Alexander that Sabrina was already on her way.

Alexander immediately grabbed the guitar they prepared earlier and stood where he was supposed to be. He loosened his tie and coughed to clear his throat.

"Ready boss?" Kenzie asked Alexander.

"Mhmm," Alexander nodded.

Arriving at the end of the road, Sabrina saw a huge heart made of petals with a table and laptop in the middle of it. She walked closer to the heart and saw a big 'PLAY ME' displayed on the laptop screen. She sat in front of the table and pressed play.

In the screen, a slideshow of pictures played. It was pictures of Sabrina.

'One smile can't change the WORLD, but it changed my WORLD'

Pictures of Sabrina as a kid displayed on the screen, she was all smiling in it. There was one where she was smiling while holding an ice cream, another one when she was naked, bathing in her kiddie tub and another when she just lost her first tooth.

Sabrina can't help it but smile. It was nice seeing these photos of her, it felt nostalgic.

'Your kiss on my lips, your body near mine, I can't help it but feel happy inside'

Next on the screen were candid photos that Alexander took without her knowing. Sabrina can't help it but cover her mouth in surprise as the pictures start to display one by one.

First picture was when they first went out together, the unofficial date they had when they both went to gather the CCTV footage of Alexander's hotel. Alexander took a photo of Sabrina secretly when she was busy taking photos of the sea. Her smile in the photo looked incredibly beautiful.

The next pictures were from their date on the beach, where Alexander formally confessed his love for her.

Another set of pictures was her, reading her script, cleaning the house, cooking, etc.

Lastly were her photos when she was sleeping in Alexander's arms. Every time that they slept beside each other, Alexander can't help it but take a picture of Sabrina's heavenly face. There were quite a few of them and every picture was absolutely lovely.

Sabrina started to tear up.

'The calming of your presence and the beating of your heart, the promise of tomorrow that we may never part'

After that certain line, the video stopped. The surroundings suddenly turned dark, every light was turned off. The candles from the pathway were also extinguished by the wind.

Sabrina immediately stood up from her seat as a slight feeling of panic grew inside her. She was about to grab her phone from her bag but a spotlight suddenly opened. She immediately turned her head and narrowed her eyes to look at the person standing.

"Alexander," she said.

Alexander was currently standing in the middle of a spotlight and is holding a guitar. There is also a microphone stand in front of him. He took a step forward and leaned over the microphone.

"For the lady who I love so much, let me sing a song for you," he said.
