Chapter 90: Stop moving

Mia, who was suddenly pulled back by Neil, gasped as she found herself being pulled down along with him on to the couch. She quickly tried to stand up, but he swiftly grabbed her waist with both his hand and made her sit on his lap in a way she was straddled on his lap with her hands resting on his firm shoulders in surprised disbelief. Her face was only an inch away from his, she could feel his warm breath against her face. Her heart throbbed faster against her ribs as if it would burst out of her chest, and her face was quick to heat up as she felt his hold tighten around her waist when she made an attempt to stand up from his lap.
