Yes. I am unemployed for the moment. I quitted my job about a week ago. Because my boss is an asshole and I would very much like to burn him alive. I'm not a bad person. He is.
Four weeks ago my boss came into my office wanting some papers printed out for him. I gladly did so. I had been getting weird vibes from him before, but I just thought I was being paranoid. Well, me thinking he was going to wait in his office for the papers I just turned around and started printing them out. My boss did not think so. I was standing over the computer, typing when a sudden hand was placed on my waist. I yelped and he slid his hand down to my ass. I told him to stop. Multiple times. But he just assured me that I wanted the same thing. I didn't. I was frozen in place. Luckily his one of his employee called him and he left. Things like that would happen every day at work and I was too scared to tell anyone. When I finally found the courage to tell Nick he told me that sacrifices must be made for money. And that things like this happened all the time. Around the third week he started kissing me. That's when I quit my job as quickly as possible. I told Nick and he was...proud of me. I promised him I would take on another job as soon a as possible.
Yet here I am. On the floor cuddling North-Ocean. She purrs when I move my thump over her nose and forehead slowly. I haven't been able to a job and the days home alone has become boring. But now less boring with little North-Ocean.
"How'd you like some food North-Ocean?" I whisper to her and she meows. "Okay, I'll go grab you some." I get up from the floor and move towards the kitchen. I grab her blue bowl and pour some cat food in it. It smells disgusting but she likes it. Whatever she likes. I hear meowing under me and soon after a cat is pressed against my leg. She has become attached to me over the three days she's been here. I don't fully know what happened to her before she got here. But she was found in a trashcan, all beaten up and starving. She's just a baby, who would do that to a little baby?
I pick up my phone and go into messages. I go to nicks name, he's left me a message.
Nick: Hey Mads, I'm having dinner with my boss today so I won't be able to come home tonight. We're having dinner on a place a bit far away from here so I'll come home late. Don't wait for me. Love you.
Oh. That was not what I expected. This is the first time he's done something like this. He's never mentioned talking to his boss. How did they become such good friends? Maybe Nick wants to charm his way into a raise. He already makes good money. He makes around 60k a month after taxes. We make way more money than necessary and Nick is saving most of it for our son. We don't have a son. But he wants one. He wants me to get pregnant and I don't. It's not that I don't want kids- it's that I'm still young. I'm twenty two years old and Nick is twenty seven. Not so much of an age gap. I know Nick wants a baby but I still have so many things I want to do before getting myself committed to a baby.
I sigh and rub my forehead. Guess I'll eat the pasta Carbonara I just made by myself. I wanted to pick up his mood today so I made him his favorite. But eating it myself will do. Well I'm not actually alone. I have North-Ocean. I'll eat with North-Ocean. I can even light some candles to make it cozy. It's been long since I've had some alone time.
I put down her food on the floor and she looks at me. I give her a slight nod and she lunges forward towards the food. I laugh a little and grab a glass of water, chugging it down.
