Chapter 5: Levelling Up
Lex's steps seemed to echo louder and louder as he got closer to his target, he extended his arms so the bones parted the air as he dragged them behind his back.
The Skeleton started to turn its head to the right but it was already too late, Lex planted his left foot down with a colossal amount of force, he then proceeded to fling his body forward hitting the top of the Skeletons skull with the bone in his left hand first.
As the bone landed it slightly cracked the Skeletons skull and shattered the bone he was holding in his left hand, just before the Skeleton fell back Lex followed up with a strike using the bone in his right hand shattering the Skeleton's skull and cracking the bone he held within his hand.

Level Up
'Finally!' Lex thought as he carried on following through with his attack, his head was now poking around the wall revealing a long corridor with two grey dull-looking rods blocking the top and bottom of his vision.
Suddenly, something appeared before his eyes.
Skeleton Knight Level 12
Lex felt his whole body crumple up, so much so, it even caused his tongue to quickly tense inside of his mouth and his eyes to widen as he read the message in front of him.
He quickly looked towards the Skeletons arm that was raised above his head in an attempt to see where the strike was going to land.
Lex attempted to catch himself before he fell onto the ground using the bone in his high hand to prop himself up, causing the sword to only lightly cut his left shoulder as he used his strength to throw himself backwards.
He also noticed that now he could see his health in the bottom middle of his vision, he didn't have time to question it as he quickly needed to open up his stats.
Health: 49/60
'STATS'
Lex's stat menu quickly popped up milliseconds after as usual, Lex needed to run away, he had no chance of beating a Skeleton at the first evolution. Knowing this, Lex quickly added all three attributes points into Agility.
Agility: 6 [+]
Lex frantically attempted to get up almost slipping over the moss on the ground as he ran for his life, with the Skeleton in hot pursuit of him.
Lex grabbed his left shoulder with his right arm keeping pressure on the wound whilst checking where the Skeleton was in reference to himself.
He made sharp turns almost falling over due to the change of direction at each corner and started slowly putting some distance between himself and the Skeleton.
Stamina: 12/30
Stopping around the corner of a wall and breathing heavily he tried to calm himself down, if he couldn't outrun it this would easily be the end of him.
He took a peek around the corner seeing the now confused Skeleton Knight trying to locate him turning at every corner and looking out for Lex before moving on to the next.
Lex wanted to sprint to the end of the corridor, but deep down he knew this Dungeon was a maze and one wrong step or turn could activate a trap or he could run into more Skeleton Knights.
'I hate Knights so much.' Lex thought to himself as he remembered his time in the game with every player that played the Knight class always being arrogant or proud individuals.
Taking a deep breath in before exhaling slowly he knew that Skeletons weren't smart enough to set traps unless the boss of the Dungeon was a litch, which was unlikely considering the level of the Skeletons.
If the boss was a litch then this would have to be a peak intermediate dungeon, which it isn't, so Lex quickly dashed towards the opposite side of where the Skeleton Knight would be checking.
As he got closer he could smell a putrid smell coming from the other side of the corridor, as he reached the end it only seemed to grow stronger.
Lex took a peek around the corner of the wall and saw them.
Lex saw a small pile of dead adventurers hoping to complete the dungeon but failing in the process. Lex started to feel dizzy with anger at the sight of this, in the game you didn't have to worry about death as you'd just respawn.
But here, you were gone forever.
