Chapter 16: The Gates Guards
Lex walked down the last corridor of the Dungeon, the light at the end was blinding Lex as he came closer to it.
'Freedom!' Lex thought as he jumped towards the light sending himself flying out of the Dungeon.
Lex landed onto the uneven ground outside the Dungeon, almost falling over, he regained his balance as he awaited his eyes to just to the light.
He looked out into the ocean of shiny swaying grass that fought valiantly to stay up against the wind. The cool breeze of air gently covered his face as he looked around, the birds in the sky flew in formations as if they were charging into battle.
'This place... It's perfect.' Lex thought as he watched the scene around him. The mounds and hills taking their stand in the far off distance, trees covered their faces causing them to be ever hiding.
'So, I'm on Erebus, that's relieving.' He thought as he looked at the area around him. It was the third strongest continent amongst the five.
Each continent looked a different way so it was obvious what continent you were on just by looking at the area around you. Erebus was a continent rich with grass, trees, hills and plants.
Lex quickly checked his inventory, he had almost forgotten to check if it was broken or not. In the top left-hand corner of his inventory was an item he had taken from the boss' room.
When the boss was defeated somewhere hidden in the room, usually amongst the rubble, was the boss' most valuable item. In World Of The Chosen, a magical chest didn't spawn. You had to find an extremely valuable item.

Lex managed to acquire a Rare item, these items are very valuable you, often players would sell them to other players or vendors that would buy them for an average of one Gold coin. Usually, most players would extremely rarely see the sight of a Gold coin yet own one, unless you were rich.
Currency in World Of The Chosen was quite simple, the lowest currency were Bronze Coins then Silver Coins, Golden Coins and finally Diamond Coins.
Diamond Coins were often considered stolen if a player possessed them unless they owned a country or a top-three guild. There was also one scenario, but, that required the person to spend millions of real-life money on the game.
If you owned one hundred Bronze coins you would be able to trade them up into a Silver coin at a Bank or a Guild.
Lex walked across the path until he saw what seemed to be a town, 'I might be able to get some food, sleep and a bath.' Lex thought as he closed his eyes with a smile.

Lex arrived outside of the town after a while of walking, 'They seem to be pretty self-reliant, with the number of farms they have food probably isn't a problem.' He thought to himself as he neared the gate.
The Guards outside of the town approached Lex as he came closer.
"What are you here for?" The Guard stated as he gripped his spear.
"I'm an Adventurer, I got lost running from a Dungeon, I've also lost most of my stuff. I was hoping I'd be able to stay here for a couple of days.' Lex replied whilst scratching the back of his head.
The Guard gave him a funny look as he looked towards the bones that were poking out of Lex's head. "We don't allow cursed individuals entry." The Guard said with a scowl.
Lex didn't realise what he meant, 'Does that mean he knows I can transform, even if he did it's not like I howl at the moon at night...' Lex thought to himself as he attempted to remember if there were any Lycanthropes in the game, with no success he hoped that he could just stay a few nights.
"I'm not here to bother anyone, nor am I cursed, I just want to stay here a couple of night before moving on," Lex said with a smile.
"A Merchant will be arriving here in three days time, I want you out by then." Ther Guard said to Lex as he gestured for him to come through the gates.
"Thank you," Lex said as he noticed the Guards tightly holding their weapons.
'I guess I better not stand out too much.' Lex thought to himself as he walked through the gates.
