Chapter 1: vol 1 - the hourglass

the breeze of the relaxing sunny weather hit her tanned skin. the sun hugged her all around and engulfed her in warmness. she had enjoyed the silence and relaxing moment until a sloppy wet rough feeling of a tongue swiped her face and made her wince in disgust. 'barney!' she yelled as she shot up from the grass and sat up straight, an old dog in her sight. the old but lively dog began to bark and jump signalling he was excited, 'maybe the lovely weather within the day him happy' or so she thought. sighing, she stood up and began patting of the small remains of grass that attached to her clothing which was an elegant white dress that had hints of light pink with knee high white socks that had a small pink bow at the top and a pair of pink high heels. as she turned around, in the distance she could see a tiny figure of a women who she assumed to be her mother. 'mother!' she shouted and began slowly pacing toward the women, trying her best not to fall because she was running in high heels which is known to not go right for some women. as she approached the elegant female who was indeed her mother, the young girl engulfed her in a hug. 'it's been a while mother, how was the trip with you and father?' the young girl questioned. (her mother and father had went on a honeymoon and the house maid looked after the girl) 'it was absolutely splendid sweetheart, let's talk about it over dinner hm? how does that sound?' the mother asked and the girl smiled from ear to ear 'absolutely!'.
