Chapter 89: Late-night adventure (2)

My head hurts worse than it did that first morning I woke up in the De Santi mansion. It feels like a garbage truck ran over me, but this time it's not because I was injected with some fucked up drug. It's because I stayed up thinking about Nico's insanity. 

Why did he sneak into my room so late at night and scare the shit out of me, only to tell me to return to the same location today? 

Was he intending to kill me? No. That would be too dramatic. If Nico wanted to kill me, I wouldn't know how I died. He would do a quick sweep of his knife against my throat. Besides, if he wanted to kill me, why would he change his mind? 

He wanted to take me to the woods for a different reason—the same reason I have to go back today. 

I'm still wondering what's so difficult about taking me there today.
