Chapter 8: The plan somehow went more than 100% right

"So you snake your arm around their tail and gently press the base while expressing her qualities till it is tightly coiling around your fore..." As Aki teached a group of lizard men who showed great interest in the lesson, suddenly there was a ringing of a bell, making it so all present stood up and directed themselves out of the resting room and towards the walls.

From deeper in the forest, there came an army of orcs, lizard men and goblins. If Aki was asked to estimate the amount of troops, then he'd say five thousand, though he'd easily admit to be erring on the side of caution. In the middle of said army, there stood at least a hundred females, clearly there to ease the troops as they moved and reinforce the pens of the biggest outpost. A bit further, there stood six towering brown figures, one of them clearly taller than the others, looking at the walls

He stared directly at him, smiling a silly and gentle smile that caused the troll to tremble. As something that had never feared anything in its life nor faced a true meeting with death, the troll had a hard time figuring out what was happening.

[Wrath activated.]

Aki did not need the silly thing to tell him that, he needED To RiP aND TEaR THat BAStaRD UnTIl... Until it begged to have it's soul crushed, so he could deny it the relief of oblivion.

"How dangerous, I almost jumped in there before the time." Aki said, taking his feet out of the ground in which he'd stepped too hard. He'd need telekinetic platforms to perform that move.

"Just as we trained everyone, focus your fire." He said before jumping down the 10+ meters tall gate and softening his fall with a roll and some wind burst before running in.

He'd train his fire resistance on the way to the big fuck.

*BOOOOM*

As the temperature shot through the roof, Aki was happy they'd buried small pockets of the extra flammable substance with much lesser passion than he'd have done. The army would not have survived, but killing all those enslaved women was not an option to their plan.

Who'd populate the city he planned to build in honor of his marriage? He needed one of those.

Where else were they going to send their earnings towards? Which house would they come back to? How would they get people to protect their things?

No, kicking and elbowing the melting monsters and reaching the core of the army to open the passage was the correct way of doing things.

Who gives a fuck about his hair being on fire and part of his skin melting? It's all growing back, see? With so much mana available there's no way he would die to such measly 400-700 Celsius from the residual flammables burrowed after his endurance was buffed so much.

How did he know the temperature of the surrounding area? He didn't, that was just a guess from the fact he could see some iron weapons glowing and the fact he'd not imediatly died from being at such temperatures. Meaning he probably wasn't too wrong about it, though he'd quickly passed the hotter areas with bursts of magic, and only so much heat could be passed through the air.

Rapidly reaching the middle of the cluster of monsters, Aki finally breathed again, completly ignoring the burnth and sweaty smell or the bodies around him as he filled his lungs to the brim, before suddenly roaring with the most rage he could shove in the sound and stompping the ground, cassing it to crack. Before quickly retreating as the ground caved in and several wood tentacles snagged away the women and pierced several soldiers before throwing them away.

Going back in, Aki ussed the dryad's help to perfome the incredible parkour feat of jumping at least two hundred meters by ussing several woodden tentacles as platforms and changing into the craniums of some orcs on his way as the fury again consumed him. And then came the fear. He could very well die if any unseen circunstances happened.

"Kill." He could end up leaving any chance he had at a second life just because he didn't run away.

"Kill." He slammed into the wind shield, completly passing through the other troll trying to stop him. Just in reach of the giant cleaver the shaman had. His grin was still there as he punched the back of the knee that reached his chest level, completly surprising all that'd seen him charge while stepping on heads.

Changing the hold on his dagger, Aki ducked bellow a backhanded fist the size of his torso and shoved a glowing metal piece right at the ugly fuck's ear, retreating behind the closest monster and throwing a stone ball at his target, which it crushed in it's beserking state, coating the right side of it's body with pure magnesium dust. There was no need to ignite that with the surrounding's current state, nevermind the glowing piece of metal being pushed out of it's head by it's insane regeneration.

It staggered as a rocky projectile hit the handle of the thing and sunk it back in, it's body already starting to spout white bouts here and there before the wave of fire hit one of it's children and reached it, the light so intense it'd blind someone with their eyes closed. Luckily that mostly ment trolls and monsters since the grandma-grandaughter dual had heavy hunks of monster between them and the sudden focus of heat.

Monsters were simply not made for this kind of activity, many a 'loyal subject' deserting as they saw the front melt and their feared leader be light ablaze in what they could only call a smite of the gods.

As more and more monsters ran away, it was clear that the shaman was becoming weaker, one way or another, because yes, Aki still had a bag of thermite on him for the case the fucker pulled some kind of second fase bullshit and completly regenerated with a roar or the like.

Fortunaly, it seemed that burning it to the ground was enough, so instead of killing more panicked monsters, Aki came in the scene and ussed a 'borrowed' war hammer from a fallen orc to cave the fucker's skull in. Seeing the Level up notification, he flooded his eyes and hands with death magic, grabbing the voley ball sized soul, shoving it into it's murder weapon, a surprisingly quick and quiet procedure.

The sounds of the troll being flatened by the same hammer after it was thrown to the hands of his in-law, not so much. The flaming maul was easily deformed after the bashing, but just as quickly did it regenerate. If anything, Aki had probably created a high grade cursed weapon he or his wife were definetly going to wield arround.

With another one falling with several blazing holes on it's whole body, the young man noticed that yes, there was only one more thing for him to do, kill the escaping troll. It'd aparently inherited some smarts from one of it's parents, because it was the only one that seemed to understand that yes, fire could kill them.

Cutting off it's legs was not much more work however, and it was quickly dispatched, leaving only the cleaning for whoever had the energy to do it, the bombardment from the walls not stopping even now, though at a lower rate.

Looking at his tired wife, Aki wanted to just carry her over to their bed and smother her in affection till she slept and then do the same himself. He was, however, out of mana and almost out of stamina, even the act of eating some healing roots was a great effort, so he just nudged her with his shoulder and started walking hand in hand.

"Ahem."

"Yes, sponge bimbo?" Asked the interrupted man.

"Hey, you know my name! And what's a sponge? That's a plant, right?" Asked the red haired, green skined woman that literally sprouted from the ground. There was anger in her voice, but she seemed to forget about it at the prospect of something new. This was the helper Aki had gotten after ten minutes of plant related insults.

About five driads had appeared, but she was the only one who would actually interact with a men for long, too young for their culture to seep into her stone like brain.

"No, you didn't tell me your name, and no, it's an animal. It grows on the flow of water, which transports microplanctons into it's feeding polyps, it can only move by growing or by being transported in the carapace of some seafloor crawler. Generally lives in colonies of several species of it's race, and until where I know it is dumber than a normal plant. Many a child from where I'm from knows about it because of a comedic and iconic character called Sponge Bob." He explained in a tired tone as they moved, the driad getting up from the ground like it was a water pool.

"Ha!" Laughed his wife. A short thing, really, but he was happy she got the joke or at least pretended for him.

"Sounds made up."

"We are two or four hundred kilometers away from a continental water body, just go underwater and find out if there's anything that looks like that around." He pointed out.

"What's a kilometer?"

"Roughly fourteen hundred something strides."

"Ok, then how are human babies made?"

"Same way as trees but without any hermaphrodite individual and with direct physical contact as a way to transmit the reproductive material."

"But how are trees made?" As the dryad asked this, Aki turned to look at her. He could completely understand his wife being curious about what actually made trees, sure, but...

"Why in the name of all that is good do you not already know that" That made the tree avatar blush a deep green.

"Im just checking if you know it and are not just lying to me." She said, completly refusing to look in his direction.

"You know what? OK. Last question for the day. I'll finish telling it to you before I get to bed." And so he did, explaining things all the way from the evolutionary process that led to the creation of fruit.

"Thay was actually quite cool to know, but I do have to ask, why do you know so much about random stuff like this?" Asked his tucked in wife, getting an excited look from the driad that followed them to their room.

"Where I come from, a whole lot of things is repeated over ten years of basic education, asked and presented in different way over tests they tell kids is literally their only chance to have a bright future and making their parents proud. Really, a lot of things is either useless to me now or were simply forgotten, but I actually use geometric rules all the time when I'm trying to reinforce a spell and chemistry goes into basically everything else that I do." He shrugged, ignoring the looks both women gave him as he mentioned the XXI century's school system and tucking himself in after an exaustive day of work and fire resistance.

As Aki woke up to a familiar softness that came from pressing his wife just the right way, he was quite surprised to open his eyes and see a complete stranger in his arms, his magic flaring up for a moment and awakening the woman. Who had a boyish cut of deep green hair that barely reached the back of her neck and amber eyes, scales on the side of her face and a resting bitch face with sharp features.

"Xera?"

"Yes?" Said a slightly softer version of his wife's voice, causing the woman in question to blink, before she started trying to touch her face, which had gotten quite smaller and definetly human like. Her hands looked rough, but definetly that of a woman, if a bit dry, before she clenched a fist and scaled patterns formed till her forearm.

Slowly sitting up, the both of them decided to ignore the naked and snoring dryad on their bed, there'd be time for that later.

"Your boobs have nipples now, but you still have a tail and your back has scales over your spine. Dear, i'm guessing here, but was your mother an ophidia?" Her husband asked.

"Yes." She confirmed, looking at her status page and finding out that yes, she'd become an ophidia. And there was a (dragon) by the side of her race title. She was about to comment on that, but noticed that he seemed completly focused on her midriff, which for some reason now spouted something similar to the pecks Aki had, just more defined.
