Chapter 7: 7-News
Arthur and Lilith looked at the Television as the two of them were interested in the news, while the Other Group had a dumbfounded expression plastered on their face. It seemed that the news within the Television was an Emergency Broadcast. Before the news started, Arthur asked something important to Lilith. "Lilith, How much time has passed since Noon?" Lilith, hearing Arthur's question, thought about it for a while and quickly found the Answer. "About 5 Hours..." Arthur nodded and thought that the Military was fast at taking action against the Undead.
A Woman then appeared on the Television and sat at the Table. She was already given the information about the Country and the World. She had a Bad Expression plastered on her face, which means that she was depressed. The news might be too much for her, but she was a Newswoman. She needed to do her job for the people in the Country. The Newswoman then took a deep breath and began speaking.
*Breaking News, On September 4, 2025, Noon. A Tragedy has struck the Country. Such Tragedy caused the deaths of 50% of Citizens of the Country. What is this Tragedy? According to the Military in the Region Duha. Some Citizens turned into Flesh-eating Monsters. No matter if they lose their Limbs or their heart gets stabbed. They would always move to Eat Human Flesh. The Military called them Undead."
*The Undead are slow, weak, and dumb. But due to the recent surprised of their appearances all over the Country. The Government, The Military, and The People got ambushed in the back. The Country is currently in Chaos, and evacuation orders haven't been given. For the Citizens of this Country, You must stay in your homes and protect yourselves. On this Day, A State of Emergency has been announced...*

The Newsbreak then disappeared from the Television, and it was replaced by a Message. "Will release news every week." Stella reads the Message as Arthur closed the Television using the Remote. The News was surprised as Arthur didn't expect them. He thought that he could use Television as some evidence that Society has fallen. "The news was unexpected, but that should give you a good image of the World we are currently in," Arthur said to the other group.
"The Country is in chaos, and relying on the Military would be a false hope. The Military in the Television came from the Region Duha. Our Region's Military might be operational, or they got overrun by the Undead." Lilith said as she thought about the information given by the news. The News didn't give that much, and the only thing the news said was the We are Fuck Message.
The Whole Atmosphere within the Faculty was in a Depressive State. They were Worried about their Lives, They were Worried about their family, and They were Worried about their Future. With the World Ending, and the Human Civilization crashing down. Was there any future left for the Survivors? Even Lilith has such questions, although she didn't let them appear on her face.
"Don't be sad... All of you might have been worried about many things, but before worrying about such things. The only thing you should do is to survive. You must survive in this Apocalypse." Arthur said as he didn't want the atmosphere within the Faculty to be depressive. He had been in this moment many times during his Journey in the Apocalypse. He was already used to how Humans could easily give up without trying to fight.
Arthur stood up and walked towards the Bathroom. Lilith followed him as she noticed that he wanted her to come with him to the Bathroom. The Other Group was curious about the two of them, but they decided not to get into their Personal Circle. Stella looked at the bathroom and shook her head. She mumbled while sitting on her chair. "Students in this Generation are Bold."
Arthur and Lilith were within the Bathroom. Arthur placed his Bag down and opened it. Lilith looked at the Bag and found nothing. Arthur was probably planning to put the supplies within the Bag. Arthur looked back at Lilith and asked. "Do you trust me?" Lilith didn't know how to answer such a question, but due to Arthur's sparkling look. It seemed that Arthur wanted Lilith to say yes. Lilith nodded, and Arthur took out a towel from his pocket.
Arthur opened the towel, and Lilith could see Three White Gemstones. There were small, but they looked expensive and beautiful. Arthur took out the Crystalized Cores from the Towel and put the Towel in the Bag. He opened the sink and cleaned the Crystalized Cores. After cleaning the Cores, Arthur gave Lilith a look at the cores. Lilith was still confused at Arthur as she didn't understand what he was trying to say.
"What do you think is this?" Arthur asked. Lilith took a look at the Crystalized Cores and could only have one Answer. "Gemstone?" Lilith answered while Arthur sighed. It was clear that most people wouldn't know the applications of the Crystalize Cores. It took Five Years after the start of the Apocalypse for Survivors to have clear Information about the Cores. "These Gemstones can make the Human Body stronger," Arthur said while Lilith had a doubtful look.
Arthur shook his head and sighed after seeing Lilith's face. He understood that it sounded strange, but it was easy to understand. Arthur then gave Lilith one of the Crystalized Cores. "Even though it looks like a Gemstone. A Human being can eat it without any problem." Lilith took a look at the White Gemstone and found that it was very hard. A Human couldn't eat it.
Arthur then put the Crystalized Core onto his Mouth and ate it. Lilith wanted to stop him, but she was too late. A while later, Arthur was still normal, and he managed to eat the Crystalized Core. Lilith decided to trust Arthur and ate the Crystalized Core that Arthur gave to her. The Crystalized Core melted onto her mouth and turned into liquid. It had a Sweet Taste, and after eating the Crystalized Core. Lilith could feel something burning within her Stomach.
"Fuck, I didn't know this was how it feels to eat the Crystalized Core," Arthur said as he sat down on the floor. He sat in a cross-legged position, and Lilith followed him. He didn't know what he was trying to do, but he calmed his heart down. "Lilith, Calm your Heart," Arthur said with a calm voice. Lilith followed Arthur's instruction and calmed herself. The Two were in silence, but sometimes Arthur would groan, or Lilith would moan.
The Other Group in the Faculty could hear Arthur's Groan and Lilith's Moan. Stella couldn't help but shook her head and mumbled about things such as Boldness, Bravery, or Stupidity. The Other Students were blushing and couldn't help but admire their Boldness. Never did they thought that someone would do it at the End of the World. While the other group was thinking about the two, Arthur and Lilith finally calmed their Energy within their Stomach.
The Two of them could feel a relaxing feeling that was spreading on every part of their body. After a while, Arthur opened his eyelids, revealing his Blue Azure Eyes, while Lilith followed him as she revealed her Red Crimson Eyes. The Two of them had sweat all over their body. Arthur stood up as Lilith also stood up. They could feel the difference in their body. Their Body got a little stronger.
"What was that?" Lilith asked while stretching every part of her body. It seemed that what Arthur said was true. The Strange Gemstone made her body stronger. "That was a Crystalized Core. They came from the Undead's Brain." Arthur answered while Lilith was in silence. The Bastard just put a Gemstone from a Dead Brain onto her Mouth? Lilith decided to keep the anger to herself as the Gemstone made her body a little bit stronger.
"Wouldn't that mean... The more we eat, the stronger we become?" That was one of the best questions in the Apocalypse World. The Awakened Humans would kill the Undead and eat their Crystalized Cores, while the Undead would kill humans and infect or eat their bodies. They call it the Cycle of Nature. "You're correct." Arthur nodded as what she said was correct. With Lilith seeing the results of the Cores, She would probably help Arthur in obtaining them.
"Anyway, We should take a Fresh Air," Arthur said as Lilith nodded in agreement. Arthur wore the Backpack again, and the two of them left the Bathroom. They were still carrying their weapons, but it was clear that the two of them had an exhausting time within the Bathroom. They were sweating like they just took a bath. The Other Group avoided their Stare and looked at them from afar.
"That was Exhausting. I never thought that you would force something disgusting like that onto my Body." Lilith shook her head and sat on the Chair. She was still wearing her Hood and Mask to cover her head. "But you willingly took it, and you still gained benefits from it," Arthur said towards Lilith, who looked at him with a flat expression. "You're right, Although it was painful at first. A While later, It turned into a Good Feeling."
"We can try it again tomorrow," Arthur said as they plan on killing the Undead tomorrow to gain Supplies. "I can't wait to do it again," Lilith said as she slowly closed her eyelids. "She must be tired from doing it. I should take it easy tomorrow." Arthur said as he also closed his eyelids. The two of them were tired, and they were supposed to begin an Operation tomorrow. It was better to be resting rather than getting paranoid about the world around them.
"They really are bold..." "They can even talk about it in front of us." "Arthur must be good at dealing with girls." "That's a good couple." The other Group was talking about the words Arthur and Lilith spoke. It seemed that they were having a misunderstanding about the Crystalized Core. Stella, who was the teacher, felt that she lacked something in her life. She sighed and decided to close her eyes.
The Survivors within the School decided to take a break and sleep. Some would have wished this was a Long Nightmare but unfortunately. It wasn't a Nightmare. They would live through this World, and they needed to be strong to survive within it. Time passes by within the School, The Nightfall began, and the group didn't bother opening the lights as it might gain unwanted attention.
The Second Day of the Apocalypse World has started. 5 AM, Early in the Morning. Lilith was peacefully sleeping until she felt someone shaking her body. She opened her eyelids which revealed her Red Crimson Eyes and noticed Arthur. It was Arthur that was waking her up. The Operation they planned to do was about to start. Lilith quickly woke up and revitalized herself. She held her Sword as the two of them walked towards the Door.
"Where are the two of you going?" Stella managed to notice the two of them. She was still rubbing her eyes as she was still trying to wake herself up. "We are going to the Cafeteria... Don't let the other students come," Arthur said as he and Lilith left the Faculty. Stella was still rubbing her eyes and realized what Arthur just said. She wanted to stop Arthur, but there was nothing she could do about him.
The Clearing of the Cafeteria was about to Start. It was time for Arthur and Lilith to begin Cafeteria Clearing Plan to gained Supplies and exit the School afterward. It was a Simple Plan. The two of them needed to handle was the Undead Horde that consists of Hundreds of Undead. A Massacre was about to start between the two of them and the Undead.
