Chapter 50: Worried

Lucia couldn't help but wonder what her Grandma was thinking, keeping Angelina around. She'd just finished tidying up the table and was gathering the dishes when she walked past Angelina without uttering another word, heading to the kitchen.

Angelina's eyes followed Lucia as she disappeared from view. Annoyed, Angelina couldn't resist muttering, "If your grandma couldn't do anything to me, what makes you think you can?"

Having said her piece, Angelina whipped out her phone, striking exaggerated poses and snapping pictures of herself. She decided to post them, "Late for work again, but I don't care!"

Angelina hit the "send" button on her phone and waited for the likes and comments to pour in. She then set her phone aside and went to change.

During the busy lunchtime rush, the pastry shop was packed with hungry customers. The counter and display area were surrounded by people looking at the mouthwatering pastries.
