Chapter 44: CHAPTER 43

Edmund leaned against a carriage that was parked far from where Viscount William stood talking to a man dressed in a plain coat and well-ironed pants. He could tell the man wasn't exactly a member of the high society, but a man of influence It could be seen in his poise stance as he talked to the viscount. 

Edmund would have loved to know what the two were talking about so seriously with their heads bobbing up and down at intervals. The man William was talking to looked oddly familiar, but Edmund couldn't place the man's face in his memory. He was having a double feeling about it. He might have seen the man from one of his business trips or balls or soirees or somewhere very insignificant which was why it was hard to remember.
