Chapter 2: I'm a good person, really.

[Yggdrasil Mist]

As I called out my spell what spread out over the town was less of a mist and more like a shiny green dustcloud. It is a Tier 7 High Druid spell that causes damage over a wide area and turns twenty-five percent of damage caused as health for the caster.

Despite its low life-steal percentage and the low damage to individual targets it shined when used against large numbers of enemies, it had certainly saved my ass during the Nazarick raid.

While I didn't know the strength of the insectoid and it's summons they certainly weren't strong enough to ignore a spell of that tier as the summons all but desintegrated and the insectoid fell to the ground, schreeching and trashing in pain.

As the spell ended the insectoid could only pant and stay on the ground.

"W-who are you." Turning around I came face to face with the vampire and her armored ally, her cute face set on a surprised expression and from her companion's posture he was surprised as well.

I raised an eyebrow as I spoke. "Isn't one supposed to introduce themselves before asking for another's name."

Her face was covered by a delightful blush as she stuttered out a response. "o-oh, r-right, my apologies, my name is Evileye and my friend here is Riku Aganeia." As she spoke she bowed slightly as Riku simply gave me a firm nod.

I made a little hum before smiling skightly and bringing my staff to my chest, bowing in turn.

"My name is Mare Bello Fiore, and, I have to ask, who is our green friend who thinks he is being sneaky." At my words their heads snapped towards were the insectoid was previously lying down but could only see a blur as the insectoid, realising stealth was out of the question, inmediately dashed towards me, probably thinking that if he reached me before I could cast anything he'd be able to defeat me.

I proved how wrong he was as before Evileye or Riku could even try to intercept him my staff was already swinging trough the air along with a spell flowing past my lips.

[Contagion: Flesh rot]

As my staff hit him, not only caving in a good chunk of his torso but also sending him flying, the spell activated and random spots all over his chitin and flesh turned gray and black and started falling apart.

The impact with the ground didn't make him any favors as chunks and even a limb simply flew away.

Now he simply laid down, too weak to do anything more than groaning in pain as the rot started to spread around his entire body. Looking at his pitiful state I decided to have some mercy on him.

[Sunburst]

At my words the sky parted as a sixty foot wide beam of sunlight striked the earth, it barely lasted more than a second but once it cleared away the only thing left was a circle of carbonised earth with no sign of the insectoid left.

Turning around I was about to speak fo my stupefied audience when a crashing sound bought my attention over to the town just in time to see some burning buildings collapse under their own weight.

"Ah" I muttered, it looked like the fire had spread to half the town, I quickly came up with a solution and used the [Control Weather], in moments the previously clear skies was covered in grey cloudsnand a heavy rain fell onto the town.

Once again, I turned to the duo standing some distance away but before I could speak to them I was interrupted once more, only this time by the cheering of the quickly approaching crowd. When they reached us I suddenly found myself being carried around by a couple of peasants while the rest of them kept cheering around me.

As they did I couldn't help but notice Evileye and Riku awkwardly standing off on the back, completely ignored.

'D-Does this count as kill stealing.' I wondered. 'I-i'm sure its fine...right?'

Suddenly I was put back down as a considerably well dressed man followed by armored guards approached me, the peasants parting around him like water and bowing to him.

When he reached me he bowed, prompting his guards to do so as well, as he spoke to me.

"Greetings, Great Elf, you have my deepest gratitude for saving me and my subjects lifes, please, may I know our saviours name." When he finished I finally noticed the (in hindsight) quite ovious crown on his head and realised I was talking to the king of whatever land I had landed in.

"Ah, yes, my name is Mare Bello Fiore, pleased to make your aquaintance, sadly I'm new to this land so I'm afraid I don't know your name King..." I trailed off at the end but thankfully he took it in stride and just chuckled before responding.

"Where are my manners, I'm King Ramposa, son of the late king Aurelius and father of Prince Ramposa the second, now, as I mentioned before me and my kingdom own you a great debt, who knows if the Demon God of Insects would have been satisfied with destroying only one town, so please, it would honour me if you let me host you in my palace at the capital of Re-Estize where I may appropiately reward you."

Honestly after twelve years of only having acces to sight and hearing the idea of eating food worthy of a king greatly enticed me.

At my nod a smile displayed itself on his face as he led me away from the crowd and into the town.

I ignored all of that as I looked around for Evileye and Riku, I found them just in time to them to fly away in different directions, both away from me.

I sighed dissapointedly as I looked at the quickly shrinking sight of Evileye's shapely behind, maybe it was the whole 'over a decade of not getting any' thing, but my libido was trough the roof, hopefully one of Ramposa's servants wasn't opposed to the idea, and if they were, well, I could be convincing.

I was broken out of my toughts as we reached the other side of the town and I saw a group of horses waiting, sadly they were understandably skittish due to the battle and Ramposa and his men couldn't calm them.

Luckily for them they had me, tapping the gorund with the bottom of my staff a small wave of green sparkles spread around me. When it reached the horses they inmediately calmed down as they were hit by the effects of [Lyre of Pan], a simple tier 2 spell.

Thanks were give again and after a minute all were mounted and we were off at a fast trot, despite not having any experience riding a horse my inate racial traits and about six different passives meant that not only I had complete control of my steed but that there was also no chance of me losing my balance and falling down.

HOURS LATER

The ride to the capital was surprisingly short, it seems that the town I helped was one of the closer ones to it. Now, I was standing alone in one of the palace's guest bedrooms as I tought about what to wear, I had a surprisingly large amount of outfits stored in my inventory courtesy of my creator, sadly it was for that same reason that most of them didn't really scream male or legal -the opposite in fact- wich were the main points I wanted to get across at the upcoming party.

Finally I found one that was somewhat within my wishes and even then it pushed the line.

It was composed of a simple white shirt with a large blue bow on the chest, blue glove covered the lenght of my arm up to the elbow followed by a black leather boots that reached mid calf. The shirt itself was tucked into a pair of white trousers with gold desings sewn into them.

Despite the outfit's simplicity anyone with a good eye would realise that it's quality was outstanding and that it probably costed more than what most minor nobles saw on their entire lifes.

Outift chosen I steeled myself for the party ahead, despite the chance to finally taste something I still hoped it didn't take too much time, earlier a particularly cute maid had caught my eye and I was going to savor that, not even good food was going to stop me from getting what I wanted.
