Chapter 337: I, Did Not Drive!

The two young girls argued to the point of explosion, with a great sense of transforming verbal communication into physical communication.

Longinus, on the other hand, smiled and said, "That's called a griffin."

"A griffin? Why isn't it called a lion bird?" Nami said with a puff of anger.

Nojiko got "lion" right, but she didn't get "bird" right, so isn't she being overwhelmed?

"Are you really not a beast tamer? If you're not a beast tamer, why would such a big ferocious beast listen to you?" Nojiko, on the other hand, couldn't help but ask.

"It is true that I am not a beast tamer, but a marine, and as for why Minos listens to me, it is because I saved it when it was still small." Longinus explained.

"Ohhh! You're so lucky, then, Uncle." Nojiko said enviously.

"Huh? Marine?" Nami was stunned before it dawned on her, "You're the same Marine as Aunt Bellemere? No wonder I said you look so familiar in this outfit, it turns out to be the same as the coat that Aunt Bellemere has been treasuring to keep us from touching."

Then, Nami was not afraid to rub her dirty hands on the clothes of Longinus and then defiantly said, "It does not seem to be anything special! And we are not allowed to touch, really stingy!"

"The Bellemare you are talking about is a retired marine, right?" Longinus shook his head and said, "For the Marine, this coat does represent a different meaning, one might even say, a very different period of life."

"To cherish the coat of justice like this is a good indication that she is a soldier with strong convictions! So, you should be proud of her."

Nami nodded as if she understood, but it didn't matter; as long as she could hear that the uncle was praising Aunt Bellemere, it was enough.

"It's still a little different, he looks much more valuable in this outfit than the one from Aunt Bellemere!" Nojiko, on the other hand, whispered a reminder.

"I knew it, Aunt Bellemere never had a talent for making money." Nami sighed like a miniature adult.

"Well, little girls, hurry home and don't let that Aunt Bellemare of yours worry." Longinus smiled.

No way would we worry about that! Aunt Bellemere can live easier without us." Nami beamed and muttered in a small voice.

"Nami, what are you talking about!" Nojiko said, disgruntled.

"You should have heard the others talk about it, there is no blood relationship between us and Aunt Bellemere at all." Nami said dejectedly, "We have never been anything but a burden and a liability to her. Perhaps, leaving Aunt Bellemere is the best option for us."

"Do you know what the greatest tragedy in life is, little girl?" Longinus asked, sitting cross-legged on the ground.

"There's no money!" Nami said the answer decisively.

"It's a misunderstanding!" Longinus sighed, "Many people can think to themselves that everything they do is for the good of others, but in reality, they never know what those people really want."

"Take this matter of yours. How do you know that your departure is relief for that Bellemere and not final blow to her heart of despair?"

"Huh? No way?"

"Isn't enduring poverty and insisting on raising you all the best answer? Maybe, you guys are the driving force that sustains her to live!"

"Ah! Then won't we make Aunt Bellemare sad by leaving home?" Nami said with anxiety.

"You just found out! Idiot!" Nojiko said and reacted, "No! You're the one who ran away from home, okay? I obviously just came to chase you."

"All right, you two hurry up and go home." Longinus patted himself down and stood up.

"Okay! Thank you, Uncle!" The two little lollies said sweetly.

Just then, a villager came running, panting, "Nami, Nojiko, at last, finally found you!"

Nami responded instinctively, "Uncle Sam, I didn't steal the bookstore book this time!"

"Who wants to talk to you about this? It's Arlong! It's Arlong Pirates appeared! Those pirates forced us to buy our lives at the price of 100,000 berries for adults and 50,000 berries for children, and everyone was worried that Bellemere couldn't get that much money, which is why I asked me to inform you not to go home for a while."

When Nami heard that, she couldn't help but lower her head in frustration, "We really are useless."

"What silly things to say? Wait, you're ..." Sam only then noticed Longinus, cloaked in his coat of justice, "Marine?"

Without waiting for Longinus to answer, he shook his head discouragingly, "That's the pirates from the Grand Line, even the marines, it's impossible to beat them."

"I'll go back first, you two must not come back."

Longinus nodded his forehead in silence; this guy didn't give him a chance to talk at all.

"Marine? Oh no!" Nojiko but suddenly alarmed, "Aunt Bellemere, she polishes that gun of hers every day, and often complains that there are no pirates for her to catch, you think she will not fight with those Fishman, right?"

Nami also said uneasily, "I heard that those Fishman are monsters that can easily pull up houses, how can Aunt Bellemere beat them?"

"No, I want to go back!" Nojiko said through clenched teeth.

"I'm going back too!" Nami followed.

"Can you show me over there too?"

When they heard Longinus' voice, both of them froze.

"Uncle, I know you are good, but the fishman are monsters, as an inferior race we are not able to resist!" Nojiko said.

"Yes! Uncle, you don't look like you have money on you, if you get caught, you'll be killed!" Nami warned.

"How so?" Longinus sighed bitterly, "Would you believe me if I said that I had actually come to capture them?"

"No~believe~," both said in unison.

"Then let me put it another way, if you don't go, it may be too late!"

"Aaaah! It's all because of you, Uncle!" Only then did the two little girls react and hurriedly started to run with their short legs.

The next moment, the two took flight.

Heck, it was clamped under the armpit by Longinus with one hand.

"You're too slow like this, point me in the right direction and I'll take you with me."

Nojiko has not yet reacted and pointed in the direction in confusion, and then, the space around her quickly backward, the wind pounded violently on her small face.

The two prepared initially to scream, but it backed up the wind into the mouth; it could not issue even the sound.

"Oooh! Uncle, you're too fast!"

"Aaaah! Slow down, no, stop!"

PS: Some book lovers are asking for QQ group things; I will reply unanimously again, because the author bacteria afraid of being chased by some people to QQ scolding, it is still temporarily not to reveal QQ (๑ŏ﹏ŏ๑).
