There was a certain sense of satisfaction in my heart as we walked out of the store. The shopping trip had been successful, and I was brimming with excitement thinking about our impending wedding. Kisara looked at me with that mischievous glint in her eyes, the same glint that had sent me running from her all those years ago. But now I found it more sexy than scary. Was that a good thing or not?

"Hungry?" she asked, her hand slipping into mine. The contact sent a familiar warmth spreading through my body.

I nodded, suddenly realizing that I hadn't eaten since morning. "Yeah, actually. Where do you want to go?"

She shrugged, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "You decide. You're the one who's starving, after all."
