When Eric heard Elena asking about their father with that polite look on her face, he exchanged glances with Mark before letting out a hearty chuckle.

Mark was the one who first answered her question. "Don't think about him. If possible, pretend like he doesn't exist."

That statement got Elena confused, so Eric had to do her a favour by giving her an insight to hold onto. Because Mia was in their midst, he had to lean in and whisper the words to her ear.

"If our father says something out of point, totally ignore him as he has a very high unrealistic expectation from Mark. And we all grew up that way."
