Chapter 99: Trash

The silence that followed after Mark revealed he had a daughter outside was choking. 

It restricted airflow, especially as both brothers watched their grandfather's ageing face turn into something very frightening. 

It had been several years since the last saw him express anger in that manner. The emotion was written in the entirety of his face.

It was scary.

Eric whose role was to be his older brother's backbone had his courage deflected like a punctured tire.

At this point, he hoped the old man would send him away.

"You have a child?" Grandfather Wang's furrowed brows twisted further in a deep frown as anger filled his eyes.

"Yes, grandfather," Mark answered while looking into his eyes. Thank God for the distance between them otherwise, he would have found it difficult to behold his gaze.
