Chapter 34: Second round with hulk
General pov...
Ethan had been using aura all this time to sense his surroundings. His reflexes and senses were on high alert. So when he sensed danger. he immediately grabbed natasha who was closest and most vulnerable of them all. to protect her from blast. bruce was also near but well he wouldn't be needing saving.
From blast ethan and natasha fell in lower floor. Natasha was unharmed in Ethan's embrace. Ethan released his grip on her.she looked at ethan and thanked him but found that he was looking in opposite direction.
Before she can ask anything. a loud roar came from the direction ethan was looking at. The roar echoed through the whole hali carrier. Taking their breaths away as panick spread in whole ship.
Everyone were familiar with that fierce roar and destruction that followed it. It was the roar of hulk.
Ethan and natasha both can hear it. The loud and furious breathing getting closer and closer to them. Ethan kept staring in the same direction as his hand started cover by yellow halo.
Without turning to look at natasha. He simply stated "Run."
Soon after, Hulk came running, with his usual anger and desires of destroy and smash everything. His gaze fell on ethan and he immediately swinged the heavy punch at ethan.
But ethan didn't back down this time. It wasn't the same as their previous fight, he was stronger now. But more importantly, ethan was prapered this time. He was already gathering his aura into his punch since he sensed that bruce was losing control.
There punches collided and created a shockwave, unfortunately ethan still loose in force and got thrown away in fighter jet area.
Natasha turn around and started to run but a shock wave swap her from behind and throw her to the side. Her head hit the wall and she lost the consciousness.
Hulk rushed after ethan immediately but suddenly hammer hit him and made him fall. It surely made him angrier.
In other side tony and captain were trying their best to make engine running again....
Ethan got up without much damage. his control of aura had grown considerably. So his defense had also improved.
He move toward where the fight was happening. Intervening in rhe fight he turn toward thor and said "you should go to make sure your brother don't escape. Because if i saw him. i wouldn't guarantee his life."
Hearing that thor tighten his grip on his hammer. he was looking at ethan with furious eyes for threatening him but he had no time to argue. so he just gave glare to him and left.
Now all that's left were ethan ,hulk and unconscious natasha. Ethan had long sensed unconscious natasha but he had no time to do anything about it. most he can do is to take fight far from there.
Ethan took out 'black heart' and shape shift it into the spear. If the opponent turns out to be stronger than you, you have to avoid being too close or all you will need to loose out was one good hit.
With spear in hand ethan looked strait into eyes of hulk. which made him roar again. So battle between hulk and ethan began again.
Hearing hulks continues roars one after other. Fury said "who is making that thing so much angry." but in mind fury already knew the answer.
Ethan didn't have transmitter. Do fury told his crew to announce his words inside the whole ship and said "lotus get that thing out of my ship before he make too much damage."
Ethan had landef many hits on hulk but hulk just got up like nothing happened. ethan was already thinking about throwing him off the ship. But he wanted to try if he can help bruce snap back out of hulk.
But Hearing fury's announcement. Ethan went back to his first option and led hulk towards the glass wall. hulk got stronger with anger but less reasonable too. so it was easy for ethan to trick him.
Near the edge ethan had no way to go. Seeing him trapped, hulk smirk. But when he was about to smash ethan. Ethan used ice element to cover the whole floor cover in ice. it was a simple trick and can't hurt hulk directly but it made him loos his balance and hulk break through the glass with the same force he wanted to crush ethan.
As hulk break out the glass natasha came toward ethan. she had been awake for quite while and observing their fight. she did find out about ethan's ice attack to add on his information.
Seeing her ethan said "get out of here..."
As ethan had expected hulk didn't fell and was hanging out side the ship. With single jump he got back inside. So ethan was ready for his come back and already gathering his aura in his leg which made it srounded in reddish golden glow.
And just as hulk entered and tried to roar ethan launched himself like missile and mumbled 'straight shot' and landed solid strait kick on hulks abdomen. big shock wave spread in the surrounding. Breaking every glass in the area.
It took hulk by suprised and it was powerful enough to throw him away. Hulk spit out mouth full of green blood as he got blasted out of the ship.
But after hulk throw away. "Shit" Ethan cursed and immediately jump out of ship too.
He had sensed Someone was missing And found out that natasha had fallen out too.
He increased his falling speed with wind element and grabbed her hand. Seeing him natasha's eyes went wide. She had already accepted her death. When she got thrown out because she knew no one with flight ability was around. That's why seeing ethan jumping after her was big suprise.
In the middle of the falling. Ethan grabbed her hand and without saying anything with controlling wind. Ethan rotated in circle, spinning natasha along and throw her back into the ship.
She flew up in archly manner and shot inside the ship through the already broken glass. She goaned in pain as soon as she hit the ground inside the ship.
She was amazed by Ethan's aim. It wasn't easy to throw her back into the ship, she would've died if she had crashed on any unbroken glass.
She stood up and went toward the edge to look down for ethan but found no trash of him.
"i hope you didn't jump just to save me and have a way to survive the fall...don't die on me....please don't die." she mumble to herself. She soon heard fury mentioning about hawkeye and answered fury's call and went to deal with him.
